Thought I'd just share some background information on the project.
This is still very much a work in progress as is still missing a lot of artwork and most of the units.
So what is Command & Conquer Red Alert: Origins? It's a StarCraft 2 custom map made to look and play as much like the original Red Alert from Westwood Studios as I can possible get it, limited only by StarCraft 2's own restrictions.
Red Alert: Origins started out as a Warcraft 3 map seven or eight years ago. Codenamed Project Red Alert, the map went through several reboots over the years.
Second reboot. Fail map is full of fail. Believe it or not, the first version was even worse, and without any custom content.
Third. Better. Not good. But certainly an improvement.
Fourth and final attempt. Now we're talking.
This is actually the fourth time I'm rebuilding this mod from ground up. But this time is different, for now I have the power of the Galaxy Editor in my hands, capable of almost anything I need in order to complete the game mechanics which is really what stopped me so many times before.
