Its looks good- kind of menacing in a good way.
I seem to do well modeling mechanical like models.
I'm not a fan of the Children of the Sun's architecture because all those spikes really don't cut it for me.
One question: does that turret rotate to fire at stuff or does it just stay there and fire a psychic blast or something?
The Turret needs a strong base. I thought it was an APC when I first saw it.

The black outline is a bit too strong for my tastes. The model looks good, but that just bothers me. Good job, otherwise, and don't worry too much about the opinion of an old timer like me.
I don't mind it, but I agree it's slightly annoying.
The details of the base are a little vague: I've not a clue what it's supposed to be or what shape it even is (a bit like the mass pixellation in RA2) I'm not a fan of this type of architecture either - even if it is supposed to be held together haphazardly. Too symmetrical for the handy work of a looney, if you ask me. The concept art did look much better than the model, I'm sad to say. Probably the colour as well.
