Red Alert 3: Revolution's main goal is to provide a more in-depth Red Alert 3 experience, whilst retaining both the unique art style and core gameplay that made Red Alert 3 so enjoyable. The faction diversity that Red Alert 3 provided has been further built on and expanded, with each faction being able to channel their particular strengths with new, updated sets of upgrade protocols. From the Allies' 'Proton Beam Capacitors' upgrade, to the Soviet’s 'Electrostatic Flak' upgrade, you can be sure that the outcome of games will be less decided by who spams the most units, and more on who spends their Security Points the wisest. This mod also aims to enhance the unit graphics, particle systems, weapon effects and visuals throughout the game. Numerous bug fixes, as well as improved sound effects covering everything from unit weapons and explosions, to unit movement and ambient noises will offer Revolution players a Red Alert 3 experience like no other.

I think that may be a feature rather than a bug. Having to purchase Clearance Level 3 from each ConYard/Outpost is a necessary inconvenience.

Really? Because when a factory is spiting Apocalypse tanks on the doorstep of a new base "This is so balanced!" is not the words coming out of your mouth. Personally I've felt the Allies Clearance upgrades to be a pain in the *** that you don't need. If the Clearances improved your buildings instead of unlocking units, that'd be nice. On topic note, nice reuse of the Pacifier.

I've worked hard to severely reduce the effectiveness of base-crawling, especially on the Soviet side. I find it an abhorrent tactic that violates the very spirit of the C&C genre.

The problem with having a universal tech-leveling for the Allies is that it encourages this sort of behavior. The notion of the Allies being able to insta-deploy a fully tech-leveled Armour Facility in a new base, with which they can spit out Future Tanks and Reclamators is something that I want to avoid at all costs.

In my opinion Pacifier was not "boring" (its gun artillery!¨, but I agree it was taking the role of Athena, and replacing it.

I was really just referring to its role in combat chain when I called it 'boring', as you're right when you say that it's hard to refer to gun artillery as such.

I believe there was a bug in v1.0 that meant that you couldn't purchase anything beyond Clearance Level 1 from additional Allied MCVs if you had selected the 'Disable Super & Ultimate Weapons' checkbox.

This has been fixed in v1.1.

Description

The Reclamator FSV is a very different beast from the Pacifier FAV in Red Alert 3: Uprising.

Armed with a pair of deployable EMP cannons and upgradable with the Proton Beam Capacitors upgrade protocol, the Reclamator FSV is now relegated to the 'Support Unit' role as opposed to simply being a boring Athena replacement.

It will also require the Clearance Level 3 upgrade.
