It is summer, 1969. The Third Great World War has come to a close, the world's armies exhausted, her nations devastated by a year of the deadliest warfare in the history of Humankind. The Allied Nations, the Soviet Union and the Empire of the Rising Sun have entered an uneasy ceasefire, and for the first time in more than a decade it seems that there may be a chance for peace to return to a war-torn world.
Yet one does not meddle with time without consequence, as the war is only truly beginning, and the world was just beginning to see the effects of the Paradox...

It is campaign friendly. Nothing about the campaign is changed. The units in the campaign are totally separate from mod units.

Apart from the fact whether EA would like it or not, (or even allow it), i don't think the devs would like to port everything into a new engine that isn't even suited for RTS work.

I'll be honest. At first, I kinda had low expectations of Paradox, considering there was only one official 'release' made of the game that I installed back in 2011, with no other reliance than just the Confederates being a new single faction. I kinda had a hunch that it'd be damn-near impossible to create such a big game with such a barebone engine. But my faith got the best of my logic, and I got my hopes up. I didn't want to admit to myself that this'd probably die out within a few years or so, but deep inside I knew it'd happen. The only real "unique" mod I've seen fully complete for Red Alert 3 was "The Red Alert\", which was probably extremely difficult as it was, the other "mods" of Red Alert 3 being copy-pastes distributed among each other of nothing more than adding Uprising units and a few C&C3 units (along with two cut-content vehicles from before RA3 was released in 2008). I hate to admit it now, but this was bound to happen; the creators were doomed from the beginning, but they do deserve a lot of credit for trying for five years, despite the countless bugs and problems; however, one can only ignore those tyrant bugs and glitches for so long. That's also why I feel bad for them, solely because they spent five long years, getting so much attention, and spending money just to make it all happen, and for what? For the crummy RA3 engine to beat the hell outta them when they're trying to make a good expansion for our beloved Red Alert, with such an amazing canonical storyline that EA Games would have never, EVER, been able to create in a million years. It's a tragedy that such a beautiful creation has to become just another statistic. RIP Paradox, 2009-2014

I understand you have BCII, but I mean, why give up if you can't add in the new factions? The Paradox team had tons of ideas for the main 3 factions that were well within the limitations of the Engine, and even then if you couldn't get all those ideas in, your team had already started major balancing within the game. I understand the notion of "Quitting while your ahead", but I think stopping Paradox would be a waste of work.

And since I'm putting that out there, I might as well ponder something. Paradox arguably is one of the highest scoring CNC Mods on this site. However, when compared to actual content put out for the users; It just doesn't compare. I understand the team had alot of ideas and wanted everything to be good, however I would say that the community may have jumped the gun and gave Paradox all 10/10's when the mod itself was just Ideas and WIP faction. All mods start as ideas, I get that; but I think the promises and allure of all the ideas was just too much.

5 years into development is not "quitting while you are ahead."

You already have 5 years of dev time into Paradox. I can see that the engine is a bitch to work with trying to get the new factions in there, but I just don't see as to why work cannot just be done on what is already known as feasible?

One of the best things with Paradox is the extraordinary realationship between the followers and the devs, the devs give you an insight in each step of the developement. Heck, they even a suggestion page, (with actually alot accepted suggestions, though not in percentage). And ofcourse, gotta love the old C&C Nostalgia mixed with total new stuff. The mod itself have a large potential, though the final release is far far away in time and space, they have done alot to. The gameplay and units are…
