It is summer, 1969. The Third Great World War has come to a close, the world's armies exhausted, her nations devastated by a year of the deadliest warfare in the history of Humankind. The Allied Nations, the Soviet Union and the Empire of the Rising Sun have entered an uneasy ceasefire, and for the first time in more than a decade it seems that there may be a chance for peace to return to a war-torn world.
Yet one does not meddle with time without consequence, as the war is only truly beginning, and the world was just beginning to see the effects of the Paradox...

We're aiming to have our first release about 1 or 2 months from now, and no, this mod is completely separate from Uprising.

1-2 months for a total conversion? I want what you're having!

Uhm... Not to be rude, but 1 or 2 months is a little close. There is no way in hell we're going to make that. Officially, we'll announce it closer to the time, but judging from the complexity of the SDK, it will be significantly more than 2 months.

So to answer "when will it be released", it will be released eventually, but not any time soon. Keep checking back for updates (teasers, etc) but don't get your hopes up to play it before fall.

Maybe I should clarify: *I'M* planning for a release 1-2 months from now. The others are being decidedly tactful and withholding a release date, since 1-2 months is a little too optimistic. I'm hoping that we can acquire some highly skilled team members who can animate, texture models and program code so that the 1-2 month release date will become much more plausible. If you think you can help, please PM Kerensky or Open_Sketch - help shorten the time until our first release!

When you say, "don't expect to play it before the fall", do you mean the final release, or just the first one? Sorry to keep pestering you guys about this.

Kerensky287 Apr 14 2009, 12:04am replied:

Both. The first release will contain a full-on 4th faction for friendly fun, as well as new units for the Allies. That's a LOT of content right there, and we're doing this in our free time.

Thanks for the quick reply. And once again, sorry to keep bothering you guys about this.

By the way, I notice that you have been getting a lot of questions about this mods compatibility with uprising and the release date, perhaps you should, release a faq with questions like that. Just a suggestion.

One of the best things with Paradox is the extraordinary realationship between the followers and the devs, the devs give you an insight in each step of the developement. Heck, they even a suggestion page, (with actually alot accepted suggestions, though not in percentage). And ofcourse, gotta love the old C&C Nostalgia mixed with total new stuff. The mod itself have a large potential, though the final release is far far away in time and space, they have done alot to. The gameplay and units are…
