Description
As can be seen here, the Achilles is a sleek and potent war machine whose unparalleled speed and offensive power must be seen to be believed.
Note the Achilles will not be constructed at the Airfield in normal gameplay but rather in a more specialized structure called the Aeronautics Complex.
Nice work! But from where it fires?
Eventually, from the cannons on the side. However, they haven't been properly rigged yet, so currently it just fires from the middle.
Personally, I think there should be a rocket exhaust for the plane.
The effect is merely a placeholder. Eventually, it'll look like a miniature sun is bursting forth from the back of the plane.

But ive got two questions about it..
Is it standing still in the air like the apollo or is it circling around like the vindicator when idle?
Is it flying in circles when attacking.. like it attacks while still moving past the enemy, cicles around attacks again, cicles the other way around like an eight with the enemy in the cross of the eight and so on.. Like its in a dogfight..
I would assme its stationary- but thats just my assumption.
Actually it's got our new dogfighting code, so it circles and dodges.

umm, is it just me or it uses a spectrum cannon effect?
The Achilles has 4 spectrum cannons, yeah. I reduced the beam width so they didn't crowd together, but it's still powerful.
I actually think the Achilles would look better if you scaled it up a bit.. I mean if its such a powerful AA jet then why not letting it be bigger than the Apollo?
Bigger doesn't mean better - The Achilles is designed to be fast, too. You can't really expect a big bulky aircraft to be maneuverable.
Im not saying that it should be enormous or better, just a tiny bit bigger..
It IS a bit bigger than the Apollo; it's as wide, but about 50% longer.
Why won't the pilot be blinded be the bright flash from the weapon?
The Apollo was meant to have a spectrum cannon but the test pilot got blided by it even through their goggels :P
Does achilles pilots got shades?
Achilles pilots don't have windows. Due to the extreme g-forces involved, they are nestled in gel-filled capsules and monitor the battle through viewscreens, which have strobe protection systems to prevent backflash from the Spectrum weapons causing vision problems.
