An expansion/overhaul mod of epic proportions, with entirely rebalanced gameplay, expanded factions, new gametypes, graphical overhauls, and five new factions; stealth-based Confederate Revolutionaries, tower defense-inspired Atomic Kingdom of China, economy-focused Mediterranean Syndicate, DotA-esque Order of the Talon and spammy Electrical Protectorate.

So, a few players managed to play with the Alpha this day, and we already found some small nitpicks which we might as well list. (and if you readers can find any issues, you can also post them here)

First of all, javelins. This was only allied mirrormatches, but javelins were probably by far the best way to spend your money, and if you needed AA, the javelin was practically your only choice on land, the multigunner and icarus just don't cut it. When not on offense, javelin were the best defense possible coupled with some turrets.

Second, we noticed that the early game defensive play was vastly superior to taking an early offensive. While this might be favorable later on, when paradoxian maps will be released, which are bigger (if i remember correctly), it leads to earlygame situations where players who manage to beat the offensive force in their base can immediately tush up to destroy the offending player's base. this wouldn't be so bad if defensive play wasn't so terribly easy.

Thirdly, Spectrum towers have a pretty insane damage output for something easily deployed in the early game. This might just be more of a mirror-match issue then actually a balancing issue, they were great against vehicles, but lost to any infantry at all.

That said though, The Alpha is still just an Alpha, so this probably isn't that pressing.

Go play the Alpha people! We want to see more action!

Yes, but the difference is that i was not really expecting it that game. I am unable to easily cope with the thought of quick rushes, so i stumbled upon it when placed against you. But when i was expecting one, a turtle strategy seemed to work a little too wonderful.

On closer inspection of the last match, does the allied naval arsenal have any way to effectively deal with turrets currently? (not counting the aircraft carrier here)
