RCOM or 'Realistic' 'Combat' 'Overhaul' 'Mod' is a mod for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Call of Pripyat that aims to bring in a greater emphasis on realism. Additionally porting most of the 'Clear sky' levels to 'Call of Pripyat'. These levels are being filled with new content, NPC's, Dialogues and Quests.

Rcom will also have extended support for mods like Atmosfear 3. So you can customize the game to your own personal preferences.

Armor Penetration Overhaul


I have yet to see a CoP mod that has an armor system that reflects the actual NIJ level classifications, so I've been hard at work on one!

Damage is very heavy to the actor and NPC's. Armor ranges from class IIa armor to class V. If you try to shoot soft tipped bullet's into a high enough class armor, you're not going to kill an enemy. There's a progressive scale that mimics something much more like real life than what is in vanilla stalker.

Most armors come with just torso armor, or torso and head. Upgrades will allow for armom plates to be added to other areas of the body.

Have you add this mod a weapons add on like 'kaphlan mod' or wathever its name. In short you want to add a bigger maps of SoC or/and CS i hope you add more weapons to it like newer and older realistic ones to upgrade

one bug i found, once i was walking by the place Tremor hides with the body, at the dock place, anyway i was at a part where i didnt know it was him who kill the stalkers, and unfortunately some bandits were walking and started firing at the wall.... anyway after killing them i found out he was in there and yeah it kind of ruined it...

Well, it was going to be this summer, although I took a short break for a couple months and just got back to working on RCOM a few weeks ago. I'll post news and/or screenshots before too long again.

I just don't want to make sure all the screenshots/news posted show something RCOM specific as well, instead of just shots from around the RCOM zone that could be confused easily for the vanilla game.

I have spotted an annoying bug. The mission when i searched a missing hunter but when i reach the 'Missing Stalker: meet Grouse' part kill all of the bloodsuchers in the building (only 2) i can't get inside the elevator shaft because Grouse is still stand right to the elevator door.

Please help!!

I use game v1.6.02
RCOM v1.0.6 (i guess) + the patch
AtmosFear 2 + AtmosFear2 compatibility for RCOM (but with or without this mission don't work at all)

Thanks for reporting the bug, however the Grouse bug is a known bug, and actually the RCOM bug that's been reported the most by a large margin. It'll be fixed by next release.

This mod is compatible one of the Atmosfear mods?
I give it a try to Atmosfear3 gut the game crash in the loading screen or in the game. And a savegame can't be loaded without crash.

I know there was a compatibility patch the Cromm Cruac (creator of Atmosfear) made for Atmosfear 2.0 and RCOM v.1.0.6 and it was on his site.

Just a quick throw in. I saw a couple pretty good skins for the an94, an ak74 (with fake eo-tech sight), and some pistols on gamebanana.com

The pistols in question are in clear sky folder made by a guy called teh snake (intentional grammatical error I guess).

I decided to test them on RCOM to see if they would work and they do. However the file size does get super sized.

There's a lot of weapons out there. For sure the work the rest of the RCOM team is doing will make it into RCOM, obviously. Beyond that, I've been looking around and seen a lot of other modder's work and will be asking them for permission if I think the weapon will work in RCOM.

There's 3 main things I'm looking for in additional weapons:

- A fresh gameplay approach; for example a bolt action rifle, revolver, a semi-auto assault rifle, ect. Guns that provide something new that isn't represented by the vanilla weapons in CoP or RCOM.

- Weapons that texture's fit with the other weapon's visual style in RCOM. I'm pretty OCD about this kind of thing, even though I'm not a 2D artist. I trust the texture artists working on weapons for RCOM, however. :)

- Weapons that fit with both STALKER and RCOM lore. AK variants, Bizons, WW2 rifles and stuff on Stalkers, instead of having something like an XM8 with every attachment possible. NATO coutries getting their appropriate arms if possible, for example French NATO troops being armed with FAMAS, ect.

Very good Mod, realistic just like i want my game to be. May be too punishing, but nothing constant saving can't fix. Gave it a 10/10 Great work.
