We bring back a bit of the BFME 1 gameplay style by adding Combo hordes, smaller hordes, leveling buildings... and more! We introduce the Create-a-Character System! Also all of the old Factions are being remade, thus making them more fun to play.

There are quite a few factions in this mod...
Arnor (2 sub factions) & Gondor & Rohan & Elves (2 sub factions!) & Dwarves & Isengard & Mordor & Men of the East (2 sub factions!) & Dol Guldur

Hello fans and followers,

First of all I would like to thank all of you who are still around, and actively following the mod.
You guys have been a great inspiration to me and the rest of the team, so thanks to all of you for that!

Now without further ado:

Today I present to you a nice little video...
...Which took me more time than I had hoped...
It's the castle of the High Elves!
This neat castle is the base which you will get in-game during the BFME 1 mode, whilst playing as the High Elves!
I hope you guys like the movie, I spent quite some time on it, and so has Valaquenta.

Feel free to give comments or suggestions on the things you see!
(Do keep in mind that things you suggest can only be changed if it actually has anything to do with the actual base, so no saying "I don't like the forest outside the base" won't make me recreate the whole movie (But obviously if you don't like the forest, feel free to share!) )

Thats it for now, stick around, we might have other updates to share with you guys in the near future!

Gondor should have AI if im not mistaken... but due to how old the current release is I can't be certain it works on all the maps and such... The snowmen are defined in one of the inis for the BFME 2 fortresses, removing that part should remove them, they are really just there for debugging purposes :P

Is the mod dead? I see not much posts in revora these months. And I really wish that the power "war chant" is turned into Orc horn which sounds awesome!

The mod isn't dead, progress is slow due to real life activities.

If possible, can you release your cah system as a modder's resource? Because it's the thing nobody else has touched and it's hard to play when your human male loses his armor when mounted...

The Create a hero system is not fully functional yet... so I think I wont release it as a separate resource, it wouldn't function correctly on its own :P But I will see if i can make some more time to work on the mod in the coming few days :)

I know, I tried incorporating it into another mod I've been using and kept running into issues.

Have you considered using the SVN system for uploading new versions? It would be easier for the staff keep up to date with everyone else on staff and it would let the rest of us take a peak behind the curtain. ;)

Well with the SVN system you would get incomplete versions and they would not always work correctly :P I know it would make it more interesting for some fans to see how it works, but then again they would have to know how to set up the SVN and such... So I don't think this would be that effective...

After Geel contacted me and provided the fix I gave the mod another chance. At it's current state the mod is doing good. There are some maps that do not support BFME1 and/or 2 mode so they end instantly and few other things that need to be tweaked.

All together, I have decided to give this mod a 10 only because the mod creator is personally taking his time to get the mod working for individuals and I honestly do believe that after few fixes it will be a mod worth playing.

Complicated to install, lacks maps, graphics for certain structures need updates. Multiplayer is far to complicated to be practical.
