We bring back a bit of the BFME 1 gameplay style by adding Combo hordes, smaller hordes, leveling buildings... and more! We introduce the Create-a-Character System! Also all of the old Factions are being remade, thus making them more fun to play.

There are quite a few factions in this mod...
Arnor (2 sub factions) & Gondor & Rohan & Elves (2 sub factions!) & Dwarves & Isengard & Mordor & Men of the East (2 sub factions!) & Dol Guldur

Created by Ridder Geel and the RC Mod team.

Not long ago a new development team started a mod with one purpose : to recreate in BFME 2 the events that take place in The Hobbit starting with "An Unexpected Journey" and ending with "Battle of Five Armies".

I will not say too much here but why don't go and take a look on the moddb's page :

Any information should be there as well as any comments you have to make.

And if you were wondering what Valaquenta10 is mainly doing for the mod, take a look here:

We try to make frequent updates to the mod so stay tuned and see you there!

I would have the latest patch anyway.
Lots of balance changes come with it in vanilla BFME2, I wouldn't play either one without it lol

Love this mod, keep up the good work. I can't wait for 1.08 to come out!

I have a question, the gondor pikemen uses the gondor tower guard voice. Shouldn't it just use the gondor soldier's voice?
You know, "Soldiers of Gondor!" "Stand fast men." "Ready Yourselves!" As opposed to "We guard the white tower!" "Tower Guard!"

Because at the siege of Minas Tirith gandalf and the other soldiers are there with spears and swords. meaning their both grunts that fall into the same category as opposed to using gondor elite's voice.

I realize this is small and unimportant lol
But it should use gondor soldier's voice I think, not the tower guard's voice imo

Well most mods (Such as RJ & RC) use the Tower Guard voice for the regular Gondor Spearmen's just because they're both pikemen ^^

But as I said, at Minas Tirith there were Gondor Archers,Gondor Soldiers, and Gondor Spearmen. So yeah.. it should probably use the same voice as the Gondor Soldier's. The only phrase that refers to swords and not pikes is "Draw Your Swords!". The other ones refer to regular unit phrases. "Watch Your Flank!" "Keep Fighting Men!". Just Thought I would post this since I believe It should use the other one. Well I just never liked hearing the tower guard voice when it should be the other lol

They all use the same armor too. (Archers,Swordsmen,Spearmen,Knights)

Any version of BFME 2 is fine, but for online play (lan) the latest version of BFME 2 is advised ;)

This mod looks more and more awsome with each update. However i would like to make a few suggestions regarding the bfme1 mode.

1. Add walls to all factions - it really sucks to play as the bad guys. And even going with the lore, both mordor and isengard were defended by some of the strongest walls possible ( isengard's walls and mordor's black gate ).

2. If possible add 2-3 more buildable slots for each castle. It would allow the whole thing to look more like a castle and less setlement like.

3. Change the current design of the Mordor ( most of all ) and Isengard castle fortress structure. The mordor one is just a pile of husks and the isengard one is a very primitive and simplified version of the isengard tower. They seriosly need somethig to look more castle fortress like.

4. Change the current design of the Gondor castle fortress structure - keep the tower look, but improve it. Atm it just looks like a ***** in the middle of a large circle :P . Also the Rohan castle fortress - a bit more stuff on it to make it more imposing. It just looks like a redesigned stable in it's EA's shape.

This is it. Hope to see more stuff from you guys soon and i can't wait for a new release.

I use Virtual clone drive for things like that. But I have BFME2 & RoTWK so I don't use it necessarily for this.

After Geel contacted me and provided the fix I gave the mod another chance. At it's current state the mod is doing good. There are some maps that do not support BFME1 and/or 2 mode so they end instantly and few other things that need to be tweaked.

All together, I have decided to give this mod a 10 only because the mod creator is personally taking his time to get the mod working for individuals and I honestly do believe that after few fixes it will be a mod worth playing.

Complicated to install, lacks maps, graphics for certain structures need updates. Multiplayer is far to complicated to be practical.
