Wars of the Firstborn is a modification based on the discontinued Ridder Clan Mod for The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-Earth II and for The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-Earth II - The Rise of the Witch-King expansion, which focuses on bringing to life as much of the Elven world from Tolkien’s epic as possible.

A glimpse of light from the depth of the RC Mod's Fortress.

Hello fans of the RC MOD!

After a long time things are really starting to move inside the mod team. Although we are working on multiple fields at once, we are proud to present one of our mod's beloved feature: The Elven CaC!

At the moment the CaC is designed with 3 classes :The High-Elf Warden,The High-Elf Protector and The Elven Marchwarden. For this article we will show you only the High-Elf Protector.

The High-Elf Protector is specialized in wielding a sword and a shield making him perfect for taking multiple enemies at once. He is very resilient and strong, feared by anyone!

We have added loads and loads of options to customize him. At the moment the gear you can chose from is both from high-elves and wood elves. We have about 10 helmet deigns, 8 chest designs, 5 shoulder designs and gauntlets and about 4 shields. You can chose from items you see on the High-Elven units or items specially made for the CaC. We have added anything it went through our mind and we will continue to expand this feature even more!

In case you were wondering, if you like a full-geared Noldor or Galadhrim with the design from the movies, we got that! The original model never satisfied that feeling, he didn't even had pants.

We hope this demonstrates we are not dead yet and we are really working toward a finale since the Bfme community is slowly decreasing in number.

And as bonus, in this picture you might see a glimpse of other things we are working on.

Thank you for your time and hopefully we will see you soon with more announcements!

Valaquenta & The RC MOD Team.

All the best of luck.....this mod is seriously looking good! The CaC looks awesome......I'm discovering everything I ever found lacking in the original game here!

When will the CaC be completed? I am totally new to modding(I started some months back) and don't really know how long it takes, so don't take it as criticism. Generally, how many hours do you work on the mod per day? I am starting a mod soon and need to plan my working accordingly.

That all depends on what you do, work like we do on the CaC can take days :P But you can always split up the tasks and do it bit by bit, day by day, which is what we do :)
When it will be completed, we are not sure yet, due to the amount of work that goes into one class it might take quite some bit...

How many people would you need to do a mod on this scale? Can it be done alone?

Currently we are 2 active members and 2 contributors but they are mappers. The thing is we have each 5+ years of mod experience.
