Wars of the Firstborn is a modification based on the discontinued Ridder Clan Mod for The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-Earth II and for The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-Earth II - The Rise of the Witch-King expansion, which focuses on bringing to life as much of the Elven world from Tolkien’s epic as possible.

Not sure about the coloring of the armor. If this is supposed to be Mirkwood Elves, wouldn't they try to use more browns and greens to hide among the tree's? This armor looks like it would better fit Elves from Lindon or Imladris.

Very valid points yet we had a different approach for this unit. We made it similar to the Palace guards and not like the other Mirkwood units. It is more noble, not intended to sneak around trees, rather to protect the elven halls and glades.

Also the unit is based on the concept art made by weta: Moddb.com . We liked it so much we didn't want to change it.

That makes sense, I understand. Mirkwood would have a more noble looking guard that doesn't patrol the woods.

The model looks fantastic by the way (:

Would not it be to give different names to it? Heavy, medium, light does not sound nice. Maybe something like scout, warden, guardian may be better.

Actually these names are to recognize what type of upgrade they had (Light (default), medium or heavy). In game they will be simply Mirkwood Archer, Mirkwood Swordsman/Warrior, Mirkwood Speaman.

But your names sound very cool indeed, actually we might use those. Thank you for the feedback.

Description

This is the medium armored Mrikwood Swordsman. He is focused on a balance between damage and defense. He carries a two-handed sword. This unit has nothing to do with the Palace Guards.

You can get this unit by upgrading the Light Mirkwood Swordsman with Medium Armor.

Inspired by the great art of Weta, made by NewErr.
