Republic Assault is a full scale conversion mod for the Petroglyphy game Star Wars Forces of Corruption. Using elements from both the current canon, and existing EU to create the best possible game experience.
Inspired from the Havoc Squad of the Cold War, Great Galactic War, and Eternal Empire Conquests. The new, current Clone Wars era Havoc Squad was commissioned as symbol of hope for the people in the trying times, purely based of name recognition.
Current squad composition is Colonel Arue, Kad, Jax, Dorne, and R5-T1.
Arue is the squad leader, clad in Havoc Squad armor and helmet, he'll have the ability to call in an airstrike with a special animation.
Kad is the squad swordsman, and demolition expert. Unlike most Clones, Kad took up a proficiency with melee combat as apposed to the usual blaster.
Jax is the heavy weapons expert of Havoc Squad. Using a modified Z-6 cannon to deliver the full flurry of bolts in one blow for maximum damage.
Dorne is the squad medic. He's planned to be able to use a jetpack, but due to some unseen issue, that might be scrapped.
Finally, R5-T1 is the squad technician. Being a nearly 3600 year old droid design, the squad nicked named the droid R5-T1, or "Rusty". R5-T1 is also my very first unit where I've weighed the bones. So to those who know what that means, you know some special things may come.

I like the concept of Havoc Squad, but find the idea of using Old Republic Era helmets bizarre and immersion breaking; the helmet itself is at least 3,000 years older than its Clone Grand Army counterpart which makes its inclusion very questionable.
Although I fully understand that this is all a work in progress and that there's still pretty of room for further tweaks, I'd like to point out that visually the helmet doesn't seem to suit the clone battle armour at all, but of course, this is a personal opinion. Perhaps you could phase out the standard clone armour and the current choice of helmet in favour of a Clone Commando model instead?
All the same, I'm loving the progress you guys are making. Keep pumping out the content!
My thought process of reviving a nearly 3600 year old Spec Ops unit, was to bring back designs of that era as well. I wanted to make it known that this wasn't just some random squad, but the Havoc squad of old, who had saved the Republic countless times. Having just some commandos, or sticking phase 1/2 helmets on them, might just lead some people to believe it's some random squad.
As for the textures, I plan on playing around with them. I do think that the helmets could blend a bit better with the body.
Thanks, I plan to continue on working on this project.
Maybe keep the phase 1/2 helmets, but do the Havoc Squad symbols and colors, but its totally up to you since its your mod XD. Either way can't wait till this mod is released!!
They need improvment, and alot of it. First, they only have painted helmets... you need to pain hole armor. Second, not all of them used same helmets edit them a little not just add visor. Third, they were in old republic era not clone wars nor galactic civil war. I don't know what are you trying to do, do all three great wars or what...
Well since this is basically some TOR content, i'm not found of the idea at all.
To be honest, this unit is meant to appeal to TOR fans, and my personal tastes.
Well that's your mod after all, but i already know what platoon i won't build :P
Did you try to make your own "Clone Force 99" ?

You could use the helmet models for republic troopers and security forces that have been in the clone wars as their equipment wasn't as modern as clone armies
