Raising the Bar is a mod based off of the idea of amalgamating the earliest concepts of Half-Life 2 into a coherent story. This mod is not a leak-fix, nor is it a concept art recreation gallery; it will be a full story with inspiration from the old material as well as our own ideas of how to make it all fit together.

As promised, here's another update as to what we've been up to over the past two weeks.

Hey everyone, we're back again with some new content to show off. So, what have we got for you today?

Well, first off is Cvoxalury's block-out of the last area of the antlion caves. Cvox has taken to the task of creating smaller connecting maps that will be used to link together larger, more complicated maps, so eventually we should be able to get the larger maps linked together much more fluidly.


We also have some more textures from Megamawman, with plenty more to come as time goes on.


Last, but certainly not least, our new concept artist ZitaX has been working on the design of the new Hazardous Environment suit. Instead of recycling the design of the old suit from Half-Life 1, or using a modified Half-Life 2 suit, we decided to make our own based off of the in-game fiction. Here's a little sneak peak of the suit's arm variations, as the rest of the suit should be shown off sometime soon!


Thanks for following our work, we know it's not quick by any stretch of the term, but we are slowly getting the core of the mod fleshed out.

Maybe you could have a few of those arm variations in the game if you'll be able to mod or upgrade your suit, could be something like different modules if you'll have such things.
