Raising the Bar is a mod based off of the idea of amalgamating the earliest concepts of Half-Life 2 into a coherent story. This mod is not a leak-fix, nor is it a concept art recreation gallery; it will be a full story with inspiration from the old material as well as our own ideas of how to make it all fit together.

Our new modeler Guillermo's take on the concept fragment for the Antlion King. This is one of many character models that we will be making from scratch for the mod, so there's much more to look forward to!
What's the scale of this thing? The head alone in the concept art looked hella massive.
It was supposed to be 30 feet tall, so you just can imagine...
If it's actually that big when the mod comes out... oh man, that will be one hairy fight.

This is awesome, only thing I could complain about a little would be that it seems to have too many legs for an antlion :p
BTW, I always thought it's interesting how Valve intended antlions to have a king instead of a qeen, like most insectoid aliens do.

I imagine this creature will be massive, and fun to fight against. I assume he's going to be a boss, like he was meant to? Either way, great work. You perferctly nailed the design of this "bug".
