Stop saying this doesn't look like source, do you people not know the sheer awesomeness that is source?

Considering the Graphical quality of source compared to the Unreal Engine 3.0.
This looks like the UDK to be honest, just my opinion.

People only see Source for what Valve shows it. And Valve actually downgrades their games. I doubt what you see in this mod is even the max that Source can handle.

It's the same deal with the remapped Dear Esther. They both look incredible, but they're both running on Source. Valve don't like straining the engine, they prefer to keep games accessible to everyone rather than make them look stunning but only run on top-end PCs.

I know this is copypasted from the previous page, but it goes with what you guys are saying:

Episode Two was a great game for its time.

However, Source wasn't used anywhere near its full ability for that game. Just look at all the great mods out there for Source that look "ridiculously wonderful." If you compare them to Valve's older work, I can see where you come from with the, "Omgawd iz sauce?" but it's time to move on and compare mods with mods at their own level.

Those have got to be some of the best environments and textures I have ever seen in a Half-Life 2 map. This is the kind of quality you'd expect from a Valve game!
