Ultimate Weapon Renewal is undergoing many changes. This includes new weapons, new equipment, and most importantly new team members!

I have some great news for everyone.

We now have two new animators in addition to fart_blad: chad509 and killersan6/SanekED. Please welcome them to the team.

I'm glad we now have animation covered, but we still need programmers. If you know C/C++ or have a friend that does, direct them this way!
Please note that you will need to be familiar with Visual Studio 2008 SP1, and have some familiarity with working in a game engine.

In addition to the weapons we had in the previous news post, we now have the following already or they're WIP:

  • Remington 700
  • APS Stechkin (thank you tsf00181)
  • S&W M19
  • Colt Python (WIP)
  • New Toz-34 model & texture
  • New Toz-66/BM-16 model & texture
  • Soon a new Browning HP model&texture; (model by Mr.Rifleman, texture by our own Aydin/aytabag)
  • Glock 18C (needs a smoothing pass through 3DS Max first)

Aydin is also working on a new armor at this time that will give the Exoskeleton a run for it's money armor-wise, but has absent anomaly protection.

Some new engine extensions have been written since the last update, but they're small in scale and not worth listing for the most part, aside from the new thirst feature (soon will be expanded to a hard-coded need to sleep).
Speaking of engine extensions: E.Nigma42 will be the first mod to use part of our engine extensions in his own Arsenal Overhaul mod. I highly suggest checking out his page if you haven't already.

If you happen to grab the engine extensions from Arsenal Overhaul once the new version is released, PLEASE credit myself as well as K.D. for the changes (I'm mostly concerned K.D. won't get credit).

That's it for now, but more updates will be coming soon. Add us to your watch list to keep up with the latest news.
