Radiator is a series of experimental semi-episodic short-form single player mods for Half-Life 2 with unorthodox gameplay mechanics used to artistic ends - the first person shooter without any shooting. It follows a semi-episodic release schedule: each "volume" is divided into three (3) issues released over several weeks.
Issue 1 of Volume 1 is Polaris, in which you're stargazing in central California on what could totally be both the lamest and the cheapest date ever.

From what I'm reading, this is basically an interactive novel. But I don't think I can fathom something without some darkness or any of the existing gameplay variants to it.

It was a pleasant way to spend 40 minutes (download included). Check out all the different endings, play it through again for fun. All in all, a nice break from adrenaline-pumped FPS mods.

Interesting mod, I liked the concept a lot!
Very interesting, kinda wish we had to keep walking in the direction we thought was north after the guy dissapeared until we found him, and if we didn't then find our way back... but I enjoyed it, just didn't find much challenge what with being able to get hints all the time. Off to play the second now... looking forward to it.

Hmm IDK if something went wrong but after I went into the woods to find my cheap date. The game quit to main menu. Was that the whole game? I don't feel like doing that whole Star Gazing scene again...
