RADIATOR is a semi-episodic short form single player experimental alt mod for HL2:Ep2 trying to bridge the gaping canyon between Tale of Tales and commercial game design. VOLUME 1, "MORE MATTER," is the FPS without any shooting, the story of Dylan and James in California; stargaze, repress and rationalize. The third part of the trilogy will be released soon. Hopefully.

Hey everyone. Long time no see!

I've finished Radiator! Well, kind of. It still feels very unfinished to me in a lot of ways, but I decided to just package it and upload it for release anyway. You can download it for Windows / Mac / Linux over here: Radiatoryang.itch.io -- it is also playable by ANYONE WITH A STEAM ACCOUNT because it is based off the free Source SDK Base 2013 Single Player, which any Steam user can access.

Also: I don't really use ModDB anymore -- if you want to contact me, please see my website: Debacle.us

Thanks for playing, and I hope the third chapter was worth the 6 year wait!

This looks interesting. One of those unusual mods, like "Dear Ester"
I'm tracking it also. :)
Although it's a bit confusing now, what is it all about, but I think it will be clear, when I can try it.

If you can make the wind blow the trees in Polaris, that would be great :D

P.s: Why did you choose the name Radiator? Its a household heating object :/

Issue 3 is kind of Dear Esther-ish... well, in concept. I felt DE was limited too much by poor technical design. Fortunately I think Robert Briscoe is redoing the visuals and the level design for a re-release, so that should be lovely.

re: animating the tree branches, that'd require rigging + animating the trees, and that's out of the scope of my abilities unfortunately. I don't think it matters in-game though, you won't really be paying attention to the trees.

A beautiful mod that presents a very enjoyable change from more "typical", gameplay-oriented pieces (not to say those can't be enjoyable, of course. It's just that this mod, to me, was a great and unexpected experience). Certainly deserves attention.
