You are not the only one to have said that. :)
It actually looks a lot worse when using the sprite grass HL2 uses, to compromise I have added some rough patches around the edges to hopefully make it a tad more interesting.
Nice work, the building's details and the background are great! And grass might not work, but maybe some very, VERY faint displacements just to vary up the ground a bit could take its place?
Hmm so you are still working on this mod, yes? I say it looks quite interesting still.
Keep up the good work, and yeah it could use a bit of displacements or something like that (you know, for the grass sprites n' stuff).

I can't quite place why, but this structure seems somewhat Lovcraftian. Maybe it's because I already know that the influence is there.
