Proyect-Z is a MORPG (Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game) set in a post-apocalyptic world. implemented with the Orange Box source engine (Half life 2 deathmatch modification). Using databases allow data persistence getting a similar experience to a MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game), but due to limitations of the engine, map is divided into zones with loads between them. When the player has created his account to play, have a PJ (character) protected by a username and password. Each time a player leaves the game, the server stored in the database throughout the state of play: life, abilities, items, ammo, etc. When the player connect to the server using the username and password from any PC, he will have his character and inventory exactly as he left it last time.
Homeland (remake Zone 1). Testing day and night cycles, and dynamic atmospheric phenomenons.
NOTE: This map is under development , and not represent the final version.
woah! It's all I can say...
Looks very different, but somehow it feels much more...how can I say that... it suits better the world, there we go xD. It looks MUCH more polished too, great job there.
Can we get a 360 degrees view of this location (video or paranoma)? Thanks
Yeah this is certainly more of an improvement! Much more detailed than some of the maps. I wonder how well it will perform though.
QUESTION TO DEVS: is there a way you can do a progressive map loading? You know, like in GTA for example: the map loads as you move toward the a specefic direction. So, you would load up the spawn area when you load the map, and then, you would load as you move. Is it possible to do this with Source engine? If yes, this may solve a hell load of problems and performance.
Epic.......just Epic
Nice.
