Having rewatched Prometheus, a thought occurs to me: How many 'hits' will the player character be able to take from these seeing as they were so strong and hard to get off once attatched in the film?
That then made me think (depending on how many new things you'll introduce/how far you'll go from the film) that maybe enemies like these could be dealt with more easily if the player was able to equip and wear some kind of Weyland exo-skeleton suit (that were on-board to help move cargo or something). Depending on how far you go with the damage model (I imagine you wont make it so these enemies instantly kill/incapacitate the player) it could be a good addition.
Looks perfect

When your team goes and searches for these guys you may want to be sure your ammo supply is full.
