animators and 3d modellers [project] anywhere artists 21/09/10: positions still open! [project] is looking for a few new team members to assist with 3d modelling and animation on our latest blood bowl mod. we currently consist of three members: one graphic artist and texturer, and two 3d modellers. we're a friendly and enthusiastic bunch who are fully committed to completing our mod undertakings. development hell is somewhere we aim to steer well clear of; and so far, with two major mods now released plus a handful of mini mods, we're staying true to our ideals. skills on the 3d front, we need help with creating ingame characters and props. we're already well under way with this task, but any extra help here will ensure we maintain a solid pace to completion. animators are also required to assist in editing kf files, and working to bring new animations into the game. this is very much desired, as currently we're limited to the animations provided by the original game. ideally you'll also have a good working knowledge of nifskope, and an interest in cyanide studio's blood bowl video game (or at least the tabletop incarnation). a love of the warhammer setting would also not go amiss!

Since 2002 we have explored, played and enjoyed mods of all shapes and sizes just like [Project] Slann. We love games like Blood Bowl Legendary Edition that have opened themselves up to modding. Because of communities like Steam Workshop, Nexus, Curse, RTSL, GameBanana and Mod DB, more games support modding today than ever before.
Whether it is for fun, for laughs or for the challenge, modding is what sets PC gaming apart from our closed off friends in the console and mobile gaming worlds. And based on the recent outpouring of support for mods after the concept of paid modding was explored, we are not alone in our love for mods and open platforms that embrace them.
As mods play a bigger role in the future of gaming, we believe it is important to recognize the effort the teams behind the work put in, giving us countless hours of enjoyment while asking nothing in return. We have the power to change our games and that needs to be celebrated to ensure it remains a big part of PC gaming's future.
Nothing is more motivating than knowing something you've built kicks-ass. So this week if there is a mod you love on Mod DB (or anywhere else), make the effort to shout out to them, mention and link their mod in a tweet, blog, forum or facebook post with the hashtag #modlove2015 (or click the icons above for a pre-built post).
To thank those who participate in spreading the love and awareness, we have partnered up with many awesome mod-friendly games (Killing Floor 2, Mount & Blade Warband, Space Engineers, Insurgency, Chivalry: Medieval Warfare, Black Mesa, Contagion, Amnesia - get involved) & have hundreds of keys to giveaway. To win one of the games, after you have linked to a mod on Mod DB (or anywhere else) in a tweet, blog, forum or facebook post, let us know by leaving a comment with a link to your post. At the end of the week we shall be picking members at random who followed these rules, and will send them a key from one of these games.
