Welcome to Project Reality: Battlefield 2 (aka PR:BF2), a free to download game modification for the Battlefield 2 (aka BF2) retail Windows PC game. The focus of this mod is to rework the original game engine developed by Digital Illusions of Sweden (Dice) within legal and feasible constraints to create a more realistic combat environment for the gaming community. This includes adjusting various game play elements including physics, visual effects and overall game play formats. Along with changes to how the game handles, the Project Reality team has been introducing British, Insurgent, IDF forces, Canadian, and Russian factions, plus a number of community assisted factions are currently in the works to introduce even more factions to the virtual battlefields. This Mod is not for the masses, due to the fact that it has a much higher learning curve then your classic arcade game. This is the real deal.

The Project Reality team comprises a group of dedicated individuals, several of whom have backgrounds in armed services and whose sole task is to provide researched material, including statistical information, to the developers. These are in turn tasked with coding and creating the mod itself. If you are looking for a fact based first person shooter from the perspective of a combat soldier, you need not look any further.

The award winning Project Reality Team is proud to announce the official release of Project Reality: BF2 v1.0!

After 8 years of development and 21 total releases, we are pleased to announce the general availability of Project Reality: BF2, version 1.0. Since our last release (v0.98), our dedicated development team has put in countless hours of hard and intense work to produce PR:BF2 v1.0. Featuring all new models and textures, new maps, new code, new features, tweaks, fixes, and complete overhauls, this is by far our largest release to date. Almost every single file in the game has been modified in one way or another! The Open BETA for v1.0 last month provided us with valuable feedback across all aspects of the game, and now we are now ready for release.

As Project Reality fans are already aware of, the password required to unlock the installer for the preload version is now available and listed below. You can also obtain it on the official password page.

Thanks to several direct link providers, there are a number of mirrors available to download the un-passworded version of Project Reality: BF2 v1.0. You can also download via torrent, but you will still need to enter the password in order to install. You can find all of the download links here:

For those who participated in the Open BETA, please uninstall it via the control panel prior to installing v1.0. The installer comes packaged in an ISO file and instructions on how to install are detailed on the downloads page.

There is a difference between assaulting cargo ships and keeping the crew hostage and just downloading games from the torrent.

I'm not a criminal I'm 15 years old meaning I have to beg to my parents very long time before I they get me just one game. I wanted many games so the torrent is the best to get games quick and free. My dad is proud that I can games for free and he doesn't have to pay for them. Screw the corporations that want money because they are greedy pigs. People who pay for games are *** kissers of the greedy corporations. There are 2 kinds of people when it comes to the market, the consumers and the corporations. The consumers want to pay as little as possible and the corporations want people to pay the most as possible. Look what has come of games today because of greedy corporations, games that you cant mod and you have to pay for DLCs and extra content. Fossil fuels should be obsolete with renewable fuels but greedy corporations still want people to pay for gas.

you can get battlefield 2 from amazon for a pretty good price. thats what I did, or you can get it on steam, but you can only get the game of the year edition with all the expansion packs which were all terrible.

The BF2 engine on its edge... the BF2 gameplay reformed and finally promotes real teamwork. If you search for challenges in tactics and adrenaline boosted firefights this is the FPS game you search. For me it worths to buy BF2 (if you haven't yet) just to experience this mod. The extra content and the gameplay that is provided through Project Reality makes me to feel that PR is not a mod but a whole new game you can have for free. From Clan's experience perspective it is a must for every player…

Overrated! Not noob friendly. Great concept, terrible manual, tutorials, and controls. Half the time people don't even know what they're doing. Half the time you don't even know what you're doing. Pretty much follow a bunch of other people to get killed. The bots are excellent at shooting and killing you so it gives no room for even newbies to learn. The game is made so complex that it totally destroys the gameplay. Half the time you're running around in huge maps and when you finally make it somewhere…
