Welcome to Project Reality: Battlefield 2 (aka PR:BF2), a free to download game modification for the Battlefield 2 (aka BF2) retail Windows PC game. The focus of this mod is to rework the original game engine developed by Digital Illusions of Sweden (Dice) within legal and feasible constraints to create a more realistic combat environment for the gaming community. This includes adjusting various game play elements including physics, visual effects and overall game play formats. Along with changes to how the game handles, the Project Reality team has been introducing British, Insurgent, IDF forces, Canadian, and Russian factions, plus a number of community assisted factions are currently in the works to introduce even more factions to the virtual battlefields. This Mod is not for the masses, due to the fact that it has a much higher learning curve then your classic arcade game. This is the real deal.
The Project Reality team comprises a group of dedicated individuals, several of whom have backgrounds in armed services and whose sole task is to provide researched material, including statistical information, to the developers. These are in turn tasked with coding and creating the mod itself. If you are looking for a fact based first person shooter from the perspective of a combat soldier, you need not look any further.

The BF2 engine on its edge... the BF2 gameplay reformed and finally promotes real teamwork. If you search for challenges in tactics and adrenaline boosted firefights this is the FPS game you search. For me it worths to buy BF2 (if you haven't yet) just to experience this mod. The extra content and the gameplay that is provided through Project Reality makes me to feel that PR is not a mod but a whole new game you can have for free. Overrated! Not noob friendly. Great concept, terrible manual, tutorials, and controls. Half the time people don't even know what they're doing. Half the time you don't even know what you're doing. Pretty much follow a bunch of other people to get killed. The bots are excellent at shooting and killing you so it gives no room for even newbies to learn. The game is made so complex that it totally destroys the gameplay. Half the time you're running around in huge maps and when you finally make it somewhere…

Like being a commander, now you can build things on the battlefield, yes, firebases, sandbags, barbed wire, bunkers with help from your soldiers of course.
If you think you are a good shot individually in any FPS come and try this mod for BF2, you will be highly disappointed in all the latest games once you have played this. And you don't pay a penny for it.
And if you like teamwork, you will see that its the best squad that wins the day, the best coordination with the commander and the best use of assets. Do something that you will not regret, download this mod now.

My name is Ante and I'm addicted to Project Reality.
The game itself, and the teamwork you find are absolutely unique. I've completed dozens and dozens of games, and tried out many multiplayer games over the past 19 years, but PR beats them all.
I thought ArmA, Call of Duty 4 or some other game could become serious competition. Silly me, after a few days trying both games I came back to PR. When I don't play PR, I look forward to playing it.
Oh, and did I mention the community and the developer feedback are awesome? Because they are. We, the players, love our DEVs, and they give back by constantly working on making PR THE ultimate multiplayer FPS strategy game.
Join a clan, or play in the official Project Reality Tournament, and you will have an absolutely awesome time!

I play only 1 computer game....and thats Project Reality.
I own an XBOX and have spent a total of 20hrs playing it since i got it about 2yrs ago......i have had Battlefield 2 and the Project Reality Mod. for about a year and a bit....and ive spent in excess of 300+ hrs playing it...
It truelly is the best game ive ever played.....more skill involved, more realism, more teamwork, and much much more fun.
Game of the century in my opinion...now how do i vote for it TWICE???
