Welcome to Project Reality: Battlefield 2 (aka PR:BF2), a modification for the retail Battlefield 2 multi-player PC game. Project Reality's aim is to create a more realistic combat environment than standard Battlefield 2, and place a greater emphasis on teamwork and cooperation. Most of the aspects of Battlefield 2 that have the capacity to be modified have been tweaked, or completely overhauled, to reflect their real life counterparts, for increased realism. Ballistics have for example also been audited to reflect those of real weapons, including characteristics such as damage, deviation and bullet drop depending on a weapon systems calibre. Since EA and DICE no longer support Battlefield 2 and is no longer being played online, the Project Reality team made PR:BF2 a standalone game. No longer is a installation of Battlefield 2 required and we have implemented our own online account system for online play.
Project Reality v0.9 new Russian Forces kit geometries.
That guy looks Chinese.
Or Siberian, perhaps?
You do realise the majority of Russia's landmass is in Asia, right?
Russia could easily have some Asians in it's military, the US does.
If i would be and African American i would find rossmum's post desturbing, and would start shouting out loud "That' Racist!". You think many Russians who live in Siberia look Asian? Do European settlers who live in Australia today look like native aboriginals? Nice to know that for the incognizant swarm the hammer&sickle commies are, in fact, asians. That simplifies the problem.
It is most likely that what was written by Snazz, that Russia has some Asians in it's military, the native nations of the eastern parts of Russia, but not Russians who have somehow evolved into Asians...
The author of the mod would not emphasize Asian looking soldiers in Russian military a couple of times, like he did in the screenshots.
I think the reason to this lies in a third possibility - these screenshots might be demonstrating C.S.T.O Forces, the members of which include Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and looking for Asian soldiers would be wiser there. Besides the screenshots clearly show the new multicam camouflage, specially used for this alliance.
I fail to see how pointing out that not every Russian is caucasian is racist. Most people utterly fail to realise that Russia spans two continents and a whole shitload of different ethnic groups, so if anything the comment I was replying to was the racist one.
