Project Jiva is an active attempt at remaking and improving the popular Half-Life 1 mod, "The Specialists" usually abbreviated to TS, for the much less limited Source engine used by Half-Life 2. It was founded by a few members of TS's roleplay community, such as DfKimera, Xalphox, Karnage aka Ryan, b4ckdw0 and Ovi (the somewhat legendary roleplay map maker.), but it is now lead by Non-Orthodox, aKa Snake.

Really looking forward to this mod. TS was an amazing mod and was really disappointing when they didn't go source. Looks great so far and I await the alpha's release.
P.S. Are you adding the classic TS maps? Some of those would be really great to remake.
Hey xalphox. It's karn :D add me to teh teem plawx
lolhow.
Also, we got a few new members.
Yar, I must be thinking of teh old mawd dee bee.
Man, thank goodness. A TS port over to source done right. I can't wait to see this take off. I'm tired of playing TS on the old HL engine because of the physics limitations. Source would make TS so much better.
It's generally the point of this, I used to run a TSRP server, but found I couldn't be too ambitious due to the acursed limitations.
I know you from the community. And really, while TS is a great game, it's starting to REALLY show it's age right now. And if they don't want to port it over it's probably better people that understand it's importance like you to do it instead of someone just trying to do it for pure fame. I just really wish there was something I could do to really contribute because I want to see this project really take off and become what TS could be with source when given the right direction and talent.
YES! Finally, a real promising TS port. Can't wait for this, best of luck!
P.s. if you need voice acting, music or graphics art, I'm your man ;).

Thanks for the positive comment! :)
Just to note, we plan to have a dead-line for March for a public "alpha," mainly so that we can show that we're actually going somewhere and attract more modellers. But generally, it won't show off much other than the powerups which if all goes as planned, should be finished by this Friday and we'll be accepting extra powerups, too.
