Hull Breach (www.hull-breach.com) is an ambitious, community driven, truly inspirational total conversion for VALVE’s award winning Half-Life 2 Source Engine. Our unique project is pushing the boundaries of online gaming by incorporating the inspiration and ideas of every single member of our community. Rather than trying to simply satisfy the desires of the mass online gaming community, we are creating a fresh approach to the way games are produced and played by introducing realism blended with science fiction as a key feature to player immersion into the gaming environment. Project Hull Breach invites players to take a step into the future and to be put in the shoes of an astronaut of war, military personnel trained for zero gravity combat situations. Players may find themselves in a variety of fascinating, beautiful and yet dangerous environments and situations ranging from battling for supremacy aboard an Alliance Super Heavy Carrier or providing covering fire for team mates evacuating from an inhospitable planet after a failed hostile takeover of a Senallin ground installation. Project Hull Breach offers players a chance to be totally immersed in an attractive, challenging 1st person shooter being developed by some of the best artists around.
Latest News: HeatVision Demonstration
12 comments by HB_BlackKnight on May 23rd, 2006 digg this super bookmark Our new coder Sven has made an excellent start on the team and has knocked up a video to demonstrate the HeatVision. We believe it's a PC game first, our gun's barrels heat up as they are fired. We also plan to have body heat dissipate. Note that the HUD is a place holder and not the real article. Enjoy! Read Sven's Development blog here!

is this dead?
Probably. It seems to be an ever-repeating pattern: people make a great mod... they get an offer from a studio... and then they either implode or are not heard about in the public eye ever again.
It's disgusting how the games industry works.
ok this is cheeky, but i mean it more in the way of providing releif for fans of breaking into spaceships whilst in the midst of a huge vac-fight - go check out AFF:Planetstorm here on moddb. it may not be as slick, but its released. now.
It's not dead. There's just a very, very small team developing it...
Right, it's not dead, but i also wouldn't call it alive, so i settle with calling it vegetating.
Call me pessimistic, but i don't think this small team will ever finish it and i don't mean it personally, i simply think so because of what i experienced with other mod-teams.
Also mod teams wich used to do high quality stuff, but wich went down because of only 3-6 members were left with only few time to work on their mod...
I would call that a realistic perspective.
Let's face it, it's just not gonna happen.
Good, because this looks pretty interesting.
They've got a myspace site (would post the link, but yeah... new user and i've to be registered for about 7 days). But their last log in was 17.09.2008... so again not much of a sign for a living mod...
myspace/hullbreachgame name: hull-breach
Just wanted to let you know this...
I'd say it's dead... sorry... would've been cool to find out how they implemented semi-hard aiming...
I haven't heard anything from the Hull-Breach team in ages. I really hope it's not dead. I was really looking forward to it. :(
