Project Hellmouth is a partial conversion of DooM2, running on the DoomLegacy engine, which is a modernised port of the game that brings it up to quake2 quality with true 3d, opengl, dynamic lighting, hi resolutions and unlimited editing possiblities.
Hellmouth is set on a huge mining station on a remote volcano, and the game style aims for realism ; as far as DooM goes. With an array of powerful weapons, blast and think your way through power plants, factories and refineries, worksite structures and processing complexes. You are required to think and to act, and earn your equipment doing so. Hybrid firepower is not gonna be handed to you. It's an atmospheric and story driven mod with puzzles and much battling action. Many innovative visual, gameplay audio features are being used, with scripting, special effects and cutscenes to provide a great gaming experience that is different from the original game.
Hellmouth uses its own legacy add-on launcher exe, required to play the movies, and a deathmatch pack will follow this project's release.
Additionally, there will be special features for all players using online facilities, opening up extended re-playability, mission updates will be presented on the Hellmouth site, in a live manor.
It's theme is hi-tech industrial, gradually intergrating into neo-gothic and techno black magic locations that have breached the man-made structures.

Hey, those interested. This project is very much alive, despite long breaks, it has still been ongoing. I have merely neglected updating here, and even my site, for about a year now :P

That pistol was used in another doom project within doom community, and the use of it dues credit to the authors of the wad resource I used to get it. I am not interested in it's origin, and it is a modified sprite of the model.
I chose it from a favourite doom wad of mine, because I like it. From realguns.wad I beleive.
