I like models and textures, but is it intended that you can still see the extruded parts on the handle in different colors?
Aslo this axe looks small enough to be able to throw it. Any chance?

That's not extruded my friend, that's all the texture. As far as throwing goes.. We haven't decided anything like that yet.
