About Priboi Story:

Approximately one year has passed since the Marked One's story. You are the military Lieutenant Priboi Slipchenko, and you were sent into the Zone... There was a secret organization, called UHSF, and they were responsible for the incident in '86. They had a base at Dead City but the mercenaries wiped them out in the late 80's. The organization fell apart, and the last living members disappeared until today. Somehow this story is connected to the Marked One's story, and you'll eventually find out how. Over 20 important classified documents were hidden in the zone and you will need to find them to complete the puzzle. You will need to be "Sherlock Holmes" and dig deeper in the zone then you have ever done before.

Important note:
On this site, you will find the 1.1 version + updates of the long awaited Priboi Story. Actually we would call it the real 1.0, what we always wanted to release, but because of time, we could not finish all the things we wanted. Now this version brings all the cutout features from 1.0. Please note, that Priboi Story was made for 1.0004 patch. There is an update for 1.0004 patch, it is highly recommendted to be used to avoid glitches.  If you want to play it under 1.0005 shoc patch, download the update for 1.0005, otherwise you won't be able to play.

Basic things:
In 1.1, mostly we concentrated to fix what we can, there were some bugs, most of them was acceptable, but we tried to clean the mod as much as we could. The 1.1 version contains all 1.0 features, we included the 1.0 readme too, so you will find everything in 1 place. We hope you will have more fun in this version. We included some weapons and some new drivable vehicles, and optimized the levels. If you have a question, or just want to say something, you will find us at GSC Forum, here, or our main site.

Priboi project was closed in March 2009. All features we made for the upcoming 1.2, will be moved to Lost Alpha, so nothing is lost. We had to decide which mod to work on, since our team is small to be able to make 2 different total conversion in the same time. After Lost Alpha release, we will upload the Priboi Story 1.2 beta, as free source for those modders who would like to make new total conversions mods, or just finish the 90% ready conversion.

hehe, im glad someone could finish it :) it needs strong willingness :) actually this project was made in 2007 april to 2007 december, at that time it was hard to make any new story (and no one made any until maybe early 2010, so in 2007-8 many ppl ignored priboi because they didnt need new story, just small tweaks) since the game was just released, and we had to experiment a lot, since gsc didnt release any documentation, tools, not to mention if we dont have such cool guys like bardak, zeed, lox, red75, neo][ and some more, who actually made tools for us, there wouldnt be any 'serious' mods for stalker than 'simple' wpn or graphics enhancement mods. :)

on the oher hand, priboi was made by hardcore hidden-object game lovers, which maybe didnt really fit for this engine, but we tried to give as many clues as we could to not to make it too easy. not many people realized, that there is a button on the pda, which shows task description, where we usually added photos of the area and some short description about the place, where you should look around.

about strong respawns, it was requested by the fans back in 2007-8, because they thought its too boring to just walk around and look for documents... again, its relative, but we listened to those, who actually were active on the forums, and cared to share their requests and ideas :)

im still glad, that even if it wasnt a popular mod, gsc mentioned us in many interviews, as priboi was the only tc mod, which added 'something new' (quoting Stohe's words - stohe is Ruslan Didenko, current stalker team manager).

Don't you think that we all know those "problems"!? Everyone who play it, get the same thing, except some players find a way to adapt or bypass (if it's possible) hard spots and others come to forums and do a smear job on hard work, just because it doesn't suit them... By the way, criticism is usualy about BUGS , not design. Again, if you not like it, don't play it. You can always go and have fun with your Fallout... I'm done to explaining these simple things to you. ;)

Why are you bother with such long posts? You could just write: "I'm mad, because there is no arrow to follow like in Modern Warfare", "i'm mad because mod contains unscripted events and i can't solve everything by just spraying bullets". Seriously, if you not like it, don't play it, and don't bitch around with complains about 3 years old project. I would like to see how you, at that time, would make it better with just 3 man team.

I finished it. Game made no sense at all. I've never played Modern Warfare...its for noobs and lamers. Arrows pointing to objectives like S.T.A.L.K.E.R, SoC? Yes...it would have been nice to have better clues and somewhat linear storyline without having to visit the damn NNP or X18 labs two or three times. As for shooting everything to solve problems? Absolutely necessary...You kill 50 monolith and ten minutes later 50 monolith respawn...so everytime you leave an area and have to back track...you have to kill all those enemy again. Coming back from Pripyat, you spawn at a monolith check point with ten of them guns trained at you soon as you spawn in...retarded. I was curious to see how many ******* I killed...stats in my PDA said I killed 250,000 stalkers lol unreal. I've played every STALKER out there at Master level and solved every problem that was thrown at me. I looked high and low for that lost squad...I got so desperate, I used the walkthrough...squad was not where they were supposed to be...they weren't ANYWHERE to be found. I had to leave for the chopper myself.
As far as this mod is concerned...you're damn right i'm bitching about it. I want the authors to learn from their mistakes when finally release Lost Alpha. If you put artistic work out publicly...EXPECT IT TO BE CRITICIZED.

btw...I just finished Cube Experimental for Fallout 3... Original, challenging...entertaining. That's what makes a good mod.

fallaout 3 is afake game american game, stalker is from a real atospheric story wish slavic fighter in a post apocaliptic zone, but it is sure that an american cant understand that, so go an play fallout 3 with uncle sam, dont botter us.

Fallout 3 is a better rpg but not a better shooter than stalker? Vegas sucked that was utter shite rip off and so was stalker 2. Stalker 3 was a good game boring *** ending and a rip off of fallouts ending structure.
