Welcome Stalker to the first (and still the one and only) total conversion mod with new storyline for Shadow Of Chernobyl page.
Approximately one year has passed since the Marked One's story. You are the military Lieutenant Priboi Slipchenko, and you were sent into the Zone... There was a secret organization, called UHSF, and they were responsible for the incident in '86. They had a base at Dead City but the mercenaries wiped them out in the late 80's. The organization fell apart, and the last living members disappeared until today. Somehow this story is connected to the Marked One's story, and you'll eventually find out how. Over 20 important classified documents were hidden in the zone and you will need to find them to complete the puzzle. You will need to be "Sherlock Holmes" and dig deeper in the zone then you have ever done before.
Important note:
On this site, you will find the 1.1 version + updates of the long awaited Priboi Story. Actually we would call it the real 1.0, what we always wanted to release, but because of time, we could not finish all the things we wanted. Now this version brings all the cutout features from 1.0. Please note, that Priboi Story was made for 1.0004 patch. There is an update for 1.0004 patch, it is highly recommendted to be used to avoid glitches. If you want to play it under 1.0005 shoc patch, download the update for 1.0005, otherwise you won't be able to play.
Basic things:
In 1.1, mostly we concentrated to fix what we can, there were some bugs, most of them was acceptable, but we tried to clean the mod as much as we could. The 1.1 version contains all 1.0 features, we included the 1.0 readme too, so you will find everything in 1 place. We hope you will have more fun in this version. We included some weapons and some new drivable vehicles, and optimized the levels. If you have a question, or just want to say something, you will find us at GSC Forum, here, or our main site.
Priboi project was closed in March 2009. All features we made for the upcoming 1.2, will be moved to Lost Alpha, so nothing is lost. We had to decide which mod to work on, since our team is small to be able to make 2 different total conversion in the same time. After Lost Alpha release, we will upload the Priboi Story 1.2 beta, as free source for those modders who would like to make new total conversions mods, or just finish the 90% ready conversion.

Priboi story - New storyline, new location
Lost Alpha - Priboi story without new storyline but it has extra stuff like mutants etc.

This mod was playable up to the area when I reached the barman. Then out of nowhere I started getting crash to my desktop. Yes; I am running the "fix" for ver. 1.005. Running at medium settings.
You need to post fatal error details from the
C:\Users\ Public\Documents \stalker-shoc\logs \xray_XXXX.log file.
I finished this mod on the highest difficulty level and I can say I had a great time. Good job guys! :)
However the ending is bit unexpected, but hey...life is full of unexpected things. ;)
The only disappointment came in the last area behind the NCP. I wanted to finish the game in the hard way, but I could not do that. Unfortunately some of the teleports did not work at all, some of them teleported in the same location. Maybe it would be good to fix these teleporters so they would work as in the original Stalker SOC and the last one would teleport the player close to the extraction point.
The other thing which was bit annoying was the way back from Pripiat to the Red Forest. Playing on the highest difficulty level and appearing in front of the 3 monolith members might be bit painful even in the egzo skeleton and full of artifacts which increases the bulletproof capacity. Maybe it would be better to move the entry point behind the entry gate and not to start behind the bus?
I am really not complaining as I enjoy the mod from the beginning to the very end. Just some toughs to consider. :)
