Do you find the Power Core explosion volume too loud? Do you hate that really annoying electricity short circuit sound that ges played after the Power Core has been destroyed?
If you do then you'll like this small mutator.
It allows you to specify the change in volume of both the Power Core explosion and the electricity sound. You can turn them off, turn them down, or if you like pain, make them louder.

It's not that it's useless or unneeded, it's just that ModDB entries are for more than something like volume control.

To be fair I am willing to concede that the volume of the Power Core explosion is fine. I have seen some people complaining about it on the Atari forums though.
The mutator was originally written purely to get rid of the electricity sound that happens after the power core has been destroyed. How anyone who plays ONS can not find it annoying is beyond me.
I started it and got a little stuck as it wasn't quite as simple to make it work from a dedicated server as I thought it would be. However 3 or 4 of the people in my clan nagged me (continuously for about 2 weeks) to finish it so I did.
Control of the Power Core explosion volume was added as it wasn't much additional work once I'd figured out how to control the electricity sound.
The mutator is installed on my clan server .. but if people hadn't have wanted it it wouldn't have been written.

At least 2nd and 3rd points were incorrect. I don't know why would anyone need a mod to mute sound of powercore explosion, when I'll see one person who needs this mod I'm going to take all my words back.
It's always nice to receive constructive feedback on the mods I spend time writing.
However neither of you have provided such so I'm guessing you fall into at least one of the following categories:
* You are a couple of trolling tossers.
* You don't use an external VOIP program when playing UT2K4
* You don't play on servers with map vote enabled.
If you can't comment constructively then don't comment at all.
