As it has been announced in the website, the next major release of PCM won’t be just another patch, but a new version: The Portuguese Civ Mod III! While it’s not released, small devblogs will be posted from time to time, both here on ModDB and on the website, showcasing the new features that PCM III will include.
In both PCM I and II, the Iberian civs used an architectural set that consisted, mostly, of buildings made up by parts of existing buildings, or copy-pasted buildings, as they are usually called among AoE2 modders. Even though the graphics of this previous building set blended pretty well with the original AoE2 graphics and looked acceptable, they weren’t very historically accurate, nor did they fit all of the Iberian civilizations, and, therefore, such set had to be replaced, sooner or later.
Roughly one year ago, Carcoma, a Spanish modder from AoKH, made a full Iberian building set, and, with his permission, his set has been expanded and will be used for the new Iberian architectural set of PCM III.
The new Iberian architectural set of PCM II will also include stone wall graphics made by Catbarf, from the Age of Empires II: HD modding community.
Screenshots of this new architecture can be seen below:
On other news, The Portuguese Civ Mod now has an official Discord server, for general discussions related to the mod and organization of multiplayer matches! If you want to join the conversation, just click here!

Hello Ryan!
First of all, sorry for taking too long to answer: I have been busy lately!
Thanks for the kind words and for your interest in PCM :D
Regarding PCM III, the development is going quite well, and hopefully we will be able to get it released this year! And, yes, we need help, mostly with testing and with maintaining the future PCM II/III wiki. If you are interested in helping, feel free to contact me ^^
Best regards,
Daniel Pereira
