Portal: The Nightmare
The Mod is dead, but the maps aren't! Soon I'll upload this map pack in .bmz format and you will be able to play it! Sorry guys, but Inoticed that i'm not good enough to make an entire Mod of Portal D:

This is the first (Updated Version) of Portal: The Nightmare. Watch it directly on ModDB or enjoy it in HighDefinition 720.p Quality by clicking the HD Button on the Bottom of the Video while playing.

Does the word nightmare refers to the hardness of the mod, because I don't see anything scary in it right now.
If it is the hardness I think I'll to skip this, I even got freakin' frustrated by playing Portal: Prelude, I don't want to ruin my gaming nerves even more. :)
lol well, i'm adding color correction and soundscapes right now, but it wont be very very scary, but scarier than portal! The word Nightmare refers to 3 things: First: Nightmare because it's a Nightmare of the test subject! Second: Since Portal is Easy, the worst Nightmare of the test subject would be that that the Aperture Science test is hard, so it refers to hardness! Third: Refers to a little bit of creepyness ;)
But you must put it in count that creepyness is a relative word. You are maybe not afraid from spiders for example, but I try to keep a distance even from a little, harmless one.
What could really can make much of the gamers feel fear are: Dark atmosphere (so this bright one is not to good), emptyness (lucky for you, it's already provided in portal), Scary sounds, well placed blood stains, flashing lights or no lights at all, moving shadows that disappear when you might see the person or thing "casting" it, etc. Just think of Bioshock, F.E.A.R. or what the hell, even the asylum levels of Psychonauts, and you know what I'm thinking of.
But no headcrab zombies, they are not scary anymore.
thank you very much for the advices!!! i'll try to follow the most of them! i think i prefer making it harder than creepy ;) dark rooms and scary flashy lights without any soundscape (total silence) will be there, but not too much =)
Standard Portal Mod, I guess I'll try you out.
Looks promising, now tracking.
Looks awesome
Looks good.
