Project-Beta is a full content mod for Portal. This mod will include, new textures, new models, new particles, and a new story mode. There are 2 Possible endings to the mod. Well here we are, 1 year year later and Project-Beta is still alive and kicking. Over the last year Project-Beta went from being just a hopeless pipe dream, to being a full fledged content mod for Portal. Caboose Jr finally made up a short trailer for Project-Beta, it may be short but it fulfills it's job nicely.
We have been working on a few surprises to be revealed in the coming weeks and in the next few months. As a special teaser for our mod lasting a year, here is a sneak preview of what is in store for those of you wondering about GlaDOS and the Story of PB. Well wait no more, here is our story for Project-Beta and a look at our plans for GlaDOS.
Project-Beta takes place in an older section of the Aperture Science Enrichment Center. The ASEC Committee deemed the section out of date and commissioned for it and the AI within to be decommissioned. The AI knowing full well what this meant, put the Enrichment Center in full lock down, keeping everyone inside locked in and everyone outside locked out. With no way to get supplies inside, all the trapped Scientists began to die and the AI was able to continue it's primary protocol. The last of the Scientists knew his only chance of survival was subjecting himself to what the AI was programmed to do, monitor test subjects in the testing facility, and this is where Project-Beta begins.
And as a final teaser for Project-Beta, here is a preview of what we plan for our GlaDOS.

I love Valve's concept art, it's always so real, or paint brushes galore. Also that's one kick ass GLaDOS!
