Project-Beta is a full content mod for Portal. This mod will include, new textures, new models, new particles, and a new story mode. There are 2 Possible endings to the mod. As all of you should know, we on the Project-Beta team have decided to show what it is exactly that we are adding to Portal, so here is another Conceptual Authorizations about what we are changing. However before I begin, I would just like to mention that one of our members has stopped working on Project-Beta, Cave who helped finish the Portals and Crosshairs has left Portal modding to pursue other things. This in no way will slow down the production of Project-Beta, we will continue as usual and hope for a timely release, so now onto more remade concepts.
Our main mapper Reepblue noticed a few small details that most of us would have missed, he noticed that the observation rooms were actually quite different from the retail Portal.
Here is an image of the Observation rooms as seen in the beta.

As you can see inside the Observation Room there are a few computers on the wall, the wall texture was different, and so was the ceiling. Reepblue decided to add these small details into Project-Beta and here are his results.

One of the next details Reepblue noticed was the Portal frames, these were a more obvious one that a lot of people noticed. Here is an image of Valves original Portal frames.

Reepblue thought these would fit well with our mod so he went to work, and here is what he came up with. They are almost an exact duplicate to Valve's.

One of the finer details of the Portal Beta that we really liked was the relaxation Vault, it was mainly built of placeholders but we found a place for it in our mod. Here is an image of Valves Alpha/Beta relaxation chamber.

Reepblue recreated this chamber down to the finest detail without making it look exactly like the one from retail portal. Here is what he came up with for the Chamber.

The final detail for this article will be something most people never really looked at from the trailer. This room was only shown in the trailer and only for a few seconds at that. Here is that test chamber.

Because this test chamber only showed up for a few seconds, Reepblue had to do a few things different with it, but over all his map came out quite nicely.
