Portal and its sequel had completely different moods with different styles of music to fit; I can only assume that the music will fit the mood of the mod. I will agree with you on the Still Alive remix, though. I had trouble listening through the whole thing.
*shrugs* I've played and beat Portal 1 and 2, and I watched playthroughs of Portal 2 to get an idea of how certain things would match. I've also played the first bit of the mod and it seemed to check out fine.
I can understand what your saying, though, but the mod team still has control on their part in how they incorporate it which should be fine. Worst case scenario I end up chilling down the elements in each song. They also have different versions of these tracks, by the way - these songs provided are simply for the soundtrack and to make it listenable and a little more eventful outside of the game.
Literally, 14. I have to say "literally" because one song is redone a second time with some more techy, broken down effects for use at a different time in the game. So, if you don't consider that a new song, there's 13.
Seven Day Assembly sounded very much like the Remastered version of the Cave Story+ soundtrack. I'm not saying I don't like it, and I agree about it making great trailer music.
These sound pretty nice actually. Except for Still Alive maybe? I don't know, it kinda caught me off guard from the original, but I'm sure you guys can make it work.
does it remix the self esteem fund? oh good! hope so!
This DOES contain the end credits song. So unless you want to spoil it, I would wait. :P
I expected there to be a Remastered-Version of 4000 Degrees kelvin. As that was really the only actual song in Portal.
Awesome! Very Mirrors Edge-y. Can't wait for the realese!
Thank you very much. :D
Still Alive remixed + portal 1 with portal 2 assets and visuals = :D CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS MOD!!!!
Portal's soundtrack was based on low ambiance so as to not overshadow one's focus while solving puzzles. This music would give me headache.
And the Still Alive remix completely loses the intended mood.
I mean, this is good music, but I'm skeptical of it's application.

Then turn the sound off....

How many tracks are there officially?

Bravo on the soundtrack, the music is wonderful, very atmospheric. Can't wait to hear it in-game.
Thanks man. I appreciate it. :)
I think the song, Seven Day Assemble, would make a great trailer theme
Haha, a lot of people have told me that which is why I'm glad it's being put to use for something like this. Thank you!

Sexy.

It was supposed to sound more along the lines of Portal 2. Choppy gates and electronic sounds. It seems to be a hit or miss for people. :P
The way GLaDOS sings in Still Alive really does not fit with the Techno music for Still Still Alive.
88 Megabytes? What the h--- are these, WAV files?
EDIT: I have now discovered that these are all MP3s.
'Android Hell is a Real Place' reminds me of TRON Legacy
