It's 13 months after the incidents at Black Mesa. The Black Mesa Research Facility has been shut down. The nation never got to know anything about the experiments there. The less you know, the less you worry. The government founded a new organisation to handle "alien related topics". They hired the best scientists, technicians and military forces worldwide, its name is Poke646.
Some days ago the Poke646 scientists spotted alarming signals from the Xen homeworld. It looks as if the aliens plan to invade Nation City by opening a massive amount of portals. But the Poke646 Tech Labs are already prepared: some months ago the technicians developed a huge generator which is able to close hundreds of portals at once with a bundled energy beam. Four generators are about to be installed at the edges of Nation City. With all four activated they will form a giant beam and hopefully destroy the alien portal technology forever.
You play the role of Damien Reeves, the technical assistant of Dr. Fuller, and you don't know all these details. All you're currently worrying about is where the hell you lost your car keys when suddenly something hits your head and you slowly fade into unconciousness. When you wake up hours later, you quickly realize that some very strange things are going on...

This is one of the best HL sp mods ever.
Hello Poke646 fans. I have recently devoted a page on my site to Poke646. On my page I have my own personal review, information on the now dead Poke646: Vendetta game, information on the Steam Fix, and also a full text transcript of the game. I may decide to add more information later (like a glitch section).

I created an account just to rate this game... It was really good. Very good story line. I LOVED the nail guns. What the hell do people not like that thing for?! I downloaded like 30 mods in the past week and this is with no doubt the best.
I had so much fun playing this. It's great, but still it gets 9 out of 10 for me because I don't like that nailgun.

bit late, but if anyone else runs into this problem(which i doubt, cause everyone would of played this by now) copy the files from the gfx/shell folder of another mod and edit the kb_act.lst file till you have all the poke646 controls in it
I loved this mod, but one thing it lacked was actual guns. I see how nailguns can be used as a weapon, it doesn't mean that Reeves can't use actual bullet guns that the soldiers are using.
I rate it a 9.
One question: How come no one found him inside that room?
I don't see the problem with the ending...

Great mod, one of my favorites. But this mod was very short, and changed the plot way too quickly at the end from destroying to saveing, if zen is destroyed, nothing bad can happen with the aelians there, execept a burning painful death, nothing less then they would of gotten here. The main chacter is too soft, and if you beat it you see what happens to people who are soft...
