In late 2005, a Russian mineral exploration company discovered a series of large oilfields in southern Sudan. First off, we have a disappointing announcement. After some debate amongst
PoE developers, it has been decided that it is simply not possible to get beta
0.4 released before BF2 ships as long as we try to have the Sudanese Army
ingame. As a result of this, we have decided to cut them from the mod in order
to get it released in a more timely fashion. We are disappointed in this, as we
all liked the way it was shaping up, but sometimes tough decisions must be made,
and we all realise beta 0.4 simply must be released before BF2 ships.

The upshot of all of this is that all currently completed Sudanese content
will be either given to the Russians or (in the case of non-Russian manufactured
equipment) scattered around the maps as pick-up kits as if abandoned by the
Sudanese. This way you still get to enjoy all the wonderful content we have
already completed, but it doesnt require a further time delay.

After that disappointing announcement, it's time to show off some
content.

First cabs off the rank are some of the handweapons we will have for you.
We have the German manufactured G3a3, the Psg-1, and the American
M14 SOCOM II, FN SCAR and the recently reskinned XM8. Take a look:

Next, we have the Polish manufactured PT91 tank in both
desert and disruptive camouflage schemes, followed by the T55 AGM in its "Black
Eagle" variant, also with a variety of camouflages on show.
