So we wonder if anyone has been picking up on our subtle little hints that we have been making lately. The community has been asking and we agree – our mod needs some winter based maps! This weeks news is dedicated to the winter wonderland that we hope our fans will enjoy. Spitfire has taken the time to update the German Soldier skins so that they will blend with the snow backgrounds. Just a reminder, the models are the original ones developed by Dice and will be till we have more time to dedicate to creating our own.
Armored vehicles will be a fun target when sighted in using the Russian made AT-4.
This will be an emplaced anti-tank weapon used by the Ukraine team.

The next groups of screenshots don’t mix with our winter based news post but we couldn’t wait to show them off. Although the weapon pods haven’t been added yet it’s still a great helicopter to look at. This variant has the dual 30mm cannons on the side which the Pilot will be able to use.
The map we want to showcase this week is another map designed by Sgt.Wedge. He’s turned into a level design work horse as he continues to develop different maps. The name of the map is First Snow – which is also a good name for this week’s news. For our registered forum members head over to the Interactive Development area as there might be more screenshots of this map posted later on during the week.
What a week it has been. Daarken and The Testing Team did a great job assisting Illicitfilms so that they could provide another great short flick for your viewing pleasure. It takes a lot of time and effort to provide enough footage for such a short teaser movie. These guys came together at the last moment and did a great job working together. We want to thank the community websites that were able to provide download links for the movie also. First site is ST3-Games which is providing their 1,000 user download server so that you can have a fast download. Second site is the great Total-War Tournament which is a Tournament community that has been supporting POE since the beginning of our mod. If you want to experience the feeling of organized combat then you should join their community as they will be hosting POE:2 when it’s released. Our third and last provider link is our own movie maker, Illicitfilms. We have also submitted the files up to Fileplanet but the movie files might not be available for another 48 hours from now. We do appreciate all of the community sites that have assisted with hosting our files for us.

One of our retired developers that worked on POE:1 has assisted the team by developing the POE:2 logo that is utilized in the movie. We do appreciate the great work that Radobe has provided to the team as it helps the mod have a more professional look. The logo has been adopted officially for the mod and will be seen when the mod starts up.
