After a long, bloody war in the Sudan, the governments of the United States and Russia struck an uneasy cease-fire over the fate of Africa and its burgeoning industry. This peace would be short lived, for to the north a new conflict was brewing. Ukraine, a former satellite state of the Soviet Union, sought to gain back the power from which it once reveled in. As the snow fell in a heavy midwinter storm, Ukrainian troops moved towards the border of Belarus. Without warning, Ukrainian troops attacked with a speed and effectiveness not seen since the Blitzkrieg of WWII.

It’s a new year and we are working hard to continue towards our first internal build for POE:2. We hope everyone had a great time during the holiday season and have returned to read our weekly news updates. The team took the last couple of weeks off to enjoy time with friends and family but we still have a few guys that had the opportunity to complete a few things for this weeks news update. We have taken a lot of time to take suggestions that our community members have posted and figured we would do something about the complaint that it’s too hard to shoot down aircraft in BF:2. The team has worked on providing different air protection weapons so that the lonely ground troops can maneuver with more hope that they won’t get destroyed by aircraft all of the time. Of course our coders are doing everything possible to balance out air/ground vehicles and weapons so this should be a welcomed addition (except to our aviators). Our first render is the Russian made Zu-23 anti-air gun that had been introduced in POE:1. The Zu-23 is a 23mm twin barreled anti-aircraft weapon that can still be used against anything that it’s pointed at so be prepared!

“KCT” has created a new model and skin for the BF:2 engine.

Next up to scare our aviator players is the American FIM-92 Stinger (Fliegerfaust 2) that will be utilized by the German team. Nothing better for an infantryman when aircraft are circling than to be able to use a shoulder fired anti-air missile!

The model was created by "AgentX" and the skin was developed by “Sarge”.
This would be Sarge’s first official POE:2 skin, which he has done a great job on.

Since we are discussing things for our ground troops let’s show the jeep like vehicle for the Ukraine side. The Uaz-3151 is a upgraded version of the Uaz-469 which has been serving countries since the 70’s. We are planning on arming it with the 12.7mm Kord heavy machine gun and/or the 7.62mm PKM.

The model was created by “KCT” and skin was designed by “Nello”.

We dedicate our next vehicle to our artillery lovers.
It’s amphibious, it shoots 122mm shells, and it’s just a fun vehicle to use.
The Ukraine team will have the luxury of providing fire missions to support their infantry comrades with the M-1974 mobile artillery vehicle.

The model was created by “KCT” and skin completed by “Sarge”.

Those BF:2 players that have worked hard to receive the knife combat badge will be happy to have the Ak-74 series bayonet to stab their opponent with. Some times it’s better to be close up and personal when you take out your enemy, and we have sharpened up this one for the quick and silent kill.

“Nello” is the modeler and “Sarge” provided the skin for it.
