This is a mod project that has been started in an attempt to improve the now open-source Plan of Attack mod for Half Life 2.
Our goal is to visually and technically improve the quality of the original game while preserving its unique and enjoyable gameplay.
At the moment, we are finalizing our plans for this project, but here's an overview of the basic idea:
Using the available source files and materials provided by the Plan of Attack Source Code packages, our goal is to visually overhaul the game and fix any issues with its code, while preserving the original gameplay.
Code-wise, there will need to be some bug fixes, and other issues with the game code need resolving as well. Eventually, we plan on adding minor game features, such as the implementation of Valve's HDR into PoA.
Visually, the game should be completely overhauled. Every weapon model should recieve a detail upgrade, if not being redone completely. We're also looking to see some minor details added to the player models.
Eventually, we will also be needing high-quality maps for the final release. This includes remakes/upgrades of maps from the original game, as well as brand new creations.
Additional improvements to the game may require the assistance of experienced public relations managers, sound designers, texture artists, and others who are experienced in modding for Half-Life or Half-Life 2.
This project has also been codenamed "Plan of Attack 1.0" and "Plan of Attack Community Project", although a final name has not been decided.

Plan of Attack is a multiplayer first-person shooter that highlights strategy, teamplay, and out-thinking your enemy. Gameplay features include multiple objective choices per map, skill classes and experience points, and alternating attack and defend rounds. The game is set in a modern-day battleground where the United States is being assaulted by a coalition of Russian, Chinese, and other foreign invaders.
