Switching gears a little bit to mention where we actually are in production.

Once again, Sith of Steel/Mogenar here with the latest news update regarding Pirates vs. Mandalorians.

PvM is Back in business!PvM is Back in business!PvM is back in business!

Perspectives within the team that have recent come to light will slightly shift the nature of the updates. Some members of the PvM team would rather that some information regarding the content of the mod not be revealed here, information for you to discover yourself when playing PvM. ;) As such, I felt an appropriate update, especially right now (I'll get into that in a sec) would regard the progress of the mod.

So, where are we? Minus some balance tweaking and a few possible aesthetic changes, the main factions are basically completed. Two new GCs have been added; the third may or may not be temporarily removed from the mod (if it isn't in the first release, it will be in one of the first updates). Of the many planets we've added, several are in functional shape, but several others will require more map and code tweaking to function. The minor factions also remain largely incomplete, with two (arguably) close to completion, two more requiring minor tweaks, and the rest still requiring a notable amount of construction (albeit these are already well on their way).

So how does timing relate to this? After next week, I will be off on Christmas/winter break. During this time period, my family, including myself, will be staying at the house of some of my relatives, relatives who don't happen to have any sort of internet connection. In other words, coding will be one of my few possible leisure time activities (lol), provided we don't do anything else. As such, given how much of a possibility exists for massive amounts of coding over the holidays, my hopes regarding the mod would be a first release sometime in January.

Will that happen? I can't tell you. Whether or not we release in January depends on multiple factors: exactly how much I code over the holidays, how many maps we decide to include, the length of the final beta testing process, etc. However, given that the main factions are finally more or less done, I have high hopes that Pirates vs. Mandalorians might finally see its first release in the beginning of 2012.

Well, that's all for now. If you have any questions, feel free to leave us comments below; we'd be happy to answer any questions or concerns you have.

Oh, and by the way, feel free to vote for us for Mod of the Year =D I mean, I know we haven't released anything yet, but maybe we could have a chance on the list for Best Upcoming Mod?

As of this point in time, we do not have plans to give the Empire LAATs.
