Phoenix RisingStar Wars: Empire At War mod | Released Dec 25, 2008If you had the power to stop tyranny, would you? Or would you crush those who threaten the peace? Phoenix Rising brings you to the waning days of the Galactic Republic and gives you that choice. Help the Galactic Empire to bring order to the galaxy, or aid the Alliance to Restore the Republic in its struggle for freedom. Command your armies and navies in an accurate and captivating depiction of battle. Highly technical readouts allow for instantaneous ascertainment of individual unit strengths and weaknesses in eight statistical categories. Deploy your forces where they are most advantageous to excel in combat. But to win the war, you must master not only strategy, but technology. Direct the greatest minds of a generation to propel your war effort forward by researching innovative new designs, or by improving old ones. The asynchronous tech tree allows you to choose in which areas you would like to specialize without forcing the research of all. You decide how the galaxy will emerge from the ashes of the Clone Wars.

0 comments by Chandler on Apr 21st, 2007 digg this super bookmark It's official: after eight months of development, the Phoenix Rising Starfighter Mini-Mod is in final alpha stages and will be available for public beta testing at midnight GMT-5 on Monday, April 23, 2007. As the name implies, this version will include the asynchronous tech tree fully implemented for fighters and bombers. However, as all the elements of space combat from the final version are already in place, this will essentially be a mini-mod in name only. Here is the final tech tree and ship list: Alliance
Empire
And the hero list with descriptions: Alliance
Empire

how can i install this mod i follow the intructions and i dont get it to work
can somebody help me.
i know is for FOC so dont say it
I played this mod! great, its a really good mod, very few mods have this much work put into them, and the funniest part is that its a mini mod! Great mod, cant wait until the update!
Aye, it's for FoC. Unfortunately, Mod DB does not make such a distinction when it comes to game categories.
This is for FoC right?
Thanks for the review. The reason I went with "mini-mod" is because not all of the features, such as Skirmish, are done yet, so it's technically not a beta. It's playable though, so why not have a release? Gives people something to do until Beta 1.0.
It has truly epic graphics and an excellent set up for researching star fighters. It isn't so much a mini mod (small modification) so much as it is a total overhaul of the game play.
Download this if you like:
1. Obscene amounts of research and customization.
2. Massive space battles (no global space population cap/ 50 cap in space combat).
3. Lots of unique units.
4. The original maps.
5. Accurate squadrons (all fighter and bomber squadrons consist of 12 units just like the books)
Don't download if you like:
1. Skirmish (space station no longer does research or unit construction).
2. Like turtle style combat and have a slow computer (no space unit cap causes massive lag).
3. The consortium (disabled).
4. Hard point system (disabled).
5. Imperial hangars on ships (again disabled).
I love the new stuff but I really liked a lot of the stuff you took out. I can live without the consortium with all the other goodies you added but you completely changed the game play. I still haven't figured out what the transports are for and I REEEEAAAAAALLY liked the hangars on the Imperials. And skirmish is fairly important to me as well. The hard points are one of the most important parts of the games. The destroyable shield generator is what leveled the playing field between the more powerful Impstars and the moncals.
this mod looks absolutly stunning, i cant wait to get this installed and have a bash on it.
and the screen shots make this look amazing too. nicely done
sweetness
The first release will be out in two days, so be sure to stop by then.
can't wait.
Q: how far are you along to releasing it to the public?
