PeZBOT is a multiplayer bot-mod for Call of Duty 4 and World at War. The aim of the mod is to introduce A.I. to local multiplayer games so those who choose not to go online or prefer to practice against bots before doing so, can.

The newest released version of PeZBOT for Call of Duty 4 or World at War will always be available in the "Downloads" section, here on ModDB.

The source code for PeZBOT 011p (CoD4) and 005p (WaW) has now been released. I had initially wanted to release versions 012p and 006p but have lost interest in modding and have moved on to other games. This will likely be the last update here, though I may occasionally check back. I have (or will) create some new forum sections for sharing your custom PeZBOT versions.

Check the download section or click the link below for the source.

Any chance of a Black Ops Pezbot version? There's even mod tools for Black Ops quietly released by Treyarch two years ago. (I can even find and download them in Steam.)

Is there something wrong with the Combat Training Bots in BO1?
(Let's see if Purple can put his finger on what makes this PeZBOT mod so truly incredible.)

Good to see you both are still about (ATB & jamjam11). Hope you guys are doing well. :)

pet131, I'm sorry I have not released 012p yet. I don't have any excuse other than I've mostly moved on to other games, I'm bored of most FPS games in general and I find little motivation in modding other than just wanting to get the next version out. It's become more of a chore than a hobby now.

I keep wanting to finish it, and I will attempt to over the coming months, but I won't promise anything just in case. I'll probably just end up uploading the source sometime when I get the current files together.

Hey LG,

Hit me up if you want some help with any of that. Free time is a factor with me also, but happy to assist if needed.

Good to see you're still kickin' :D

Hi LG / ATB,

LG, like you i have moved on to other games too, as mentioned in my previous post. Recently enjoyed Far Cry 3 so still into the FPS.

Currently testing Arma 3 (Alpha release) and it's looking good but very unforgiving, though it is supposed to be a simulator rather than a CoD type game.

If you go on to release 012p of PezBot hopefully it will be because YOU want to do it and not because you feel pressured by others. No one owes anyone when it comes to this mod.

As we can all see from some of the posts on this site, there are some very strange and odd people following this mod. Luckily the odd/strange ones are in the minority! :)

Version 11p is bugged and you can fix this quit easily with “win.rar” and a decent text editor.
(See the post placed by; ATB Mar 21 2013, 12:21am.)
“Search & Destroy”, Sabotage and actually any game-mode with multiple rounds is now possible!

The solution I posted here is a fix for the mistake that I originally made back in 2010 (see 011p credits in the ReadMe.txt). I left the PeZBOT Team some time after 011p's release so I'm not in a position to provide an official update, but posting the fix here seemed the next best thing. I hope you will take my recent post into consideration when I am brought before the modding equivalent of the European Court of Justice and shamed for this mistake... ;)

I'm glad you like PEZZALUCIFER's mod and it's great to see your enthusiasm for it, but please keep in mind before you crusade against the people that freely provided you with it that they are NOT obligated to do any work for you, just as you are not obligated to do any work for them in return.

Please note in Part 1 of the ReadMe the following disclaimer: "This is pre-alpha code, meaning it is in no way feature complete and may be full of bugs, use at your own risk."

You may also like to note that permission is given for you to continue to develope the mod in your own free time, and to then release it to the community under the conditions set out in the Disclaimer. As such, it is not necessary for you to "demand" the free time of others. Lord_Gannondorf, the sole remaining member of the PeZBOT Team, has put in many years of service and support for this mod and to the people that enjoy it, and richly deserves a break (or retirement) from that time consuming task.

I hope you continue to enjoy the mod and wish you the best of luck should you choose to release your own updated version.

Well said ATB!

A lot of hard work has been put into getting this mod to where it is now and though it's not perfect it does work really well for most.

I first came across this mod back in 2008 and started conversing with Pezz (Pezzalucifer - mod creator) at a time when it was in its first non-public release.

He kindly allowed me to start publicising his mod on the FileFront forums, to give it some exposure.

Original FileFront thread:

Since then the mod has gone from strength to strength and that's down to the help and dedication of developers who give up their free time to work on it.

But everyone has their limits and normal life takes you away from supporting such things, plus sometimes you probably feel you've done all you can and have reached your limits.

I've not publicised this mod for some time purely because I've not had the time and also because I've moved on to new games, though CoD MW will always be something I'll come back to from time to time.

So please don't give developers a hard time. Anyone can take up further development of this mod but always remember to give credit to those who have worked on it (see readme file, my names in their too).

Hey jamjam, it's been a while...

Me personally, I'm still messing about with CoD, but I can't find the time and energy to finish any of my stuff - life just keeps getting in the way of living. I get the frustration of others, it frustrates me also, but there's nothing I can do about it. I guess my life also came with a disclaimer: 'Pre-alpha, incomplete and full of bugs - live it at your own risk' - that God dude needs to iron out those glitches... :D

Good to see you again! :)

PezBots has much to improve on, like the fluidity of bot movement, but otherwise they suffice in providing a satisfactory offline multiplayer experience.
