About the mod weapons. I see that you'll not include crossbows because they are too early for the time perdio. That's not true. There are records and proofs that the Crossbow was used during the Roman Era by the germanic tribes to defeat the romans. So you can implement crowwbows if you want. And I'm not refering to the Ballistae used by the Romans as a siege weapon.

Care to link to a source? I highly doubt there were crossbows in this era, please do not put them!

You should've waited for his reply before putting "please do not put them!" especially since your using an "!".

A couple links that discuss Roman crossbows; while it seems as though portable versions of crossbows were not used often by the Roman military, they were in existence. Plus, the gastraphetes was definitely used by the Greeks in the Hellenic period.

Here's a vid of the gastraphetes

the problems with crossbows is they don't really shoot well over formations, for romans and greeks this was an issue. good against static defences if you make em big enough but not that useful in phalanx warfare.
