installation: After you've extracted the contents of this mod onto the desktop, put EVERYTHING into your perfected folder and then load up the mod on the main menu.
My game crashes whenever I change weapons using the scroll wheel when using this addon. I've also had an issue where some of my saves become unloadable for some reason. that is, when I try to load an effected save, it comes back with an "unable to load console" error and crashes the game.
At first I thought it was a problem with the core mod, but these issues only happen when I have this addon installed. Just thought I'd let you know.

hi there! great addon, only one question: is there a way to disable the light/laser sight added to the weapons?
I don't think so, maybe turning off muzzle flash in config MAY work since it replaces muzzle flashes.
I might actually make this optional for version 4.0. because I understand having a laser sight that stays active forever is kinda annoying and ruins eye candy, however I will if I can look into this by finding a way to toggle it in the scripts, I doubt it will work in this mod because perfected mod already has a ton of fire modes binded to buttons. So there would be no room to bind this to a button even IF I pulled it off, but I'll see if it's possible any way, if it can't pull it off, I'll make it optional to just disable the laser sights instead
also as much as i like the new addons, they seem to break some of the dynamic shadows- characters and monsters don't have them anymore, or only sometimes...
Probably material file issues. Might want to clean this up Recezy. I've been getting PM's about these issues from your addon as well.
It's the shaders, the new version will have its shaders replaced by dafamas best shaders, they will be many fixes to the lighting and if your talking abiut the actual shadows not showing up its no glitch, I might have turned them off on purpose so don't set them back on, sometimes only the gun shadows of monsters show up, I did this so it won't lag performance. Also Vgames there is no random junk, if there was I cleaned it up but I carefully extracted my work from the beginning, however once I can start modding by hopefully next week I'll be doing more clean ups.
Do not turn off shadows. Bad choice.
I often find lag when using the shadows of any sort so id disabled all off them including player shadow. I can save around 5 frames
With a game engine like idtech 4 that specializes in it's shadow and lighting engine removing those features to save on resources is a bad decision. Work around those features. Never take away from an engines strong points.
I'll see what I can do, there's a lot of stuff to clean up in the materials and particles folders. then the mod is good. And I can focus on adding more content, right now the blood and shaders are at high priority for fixing as they look horrible.
I have to agree with VGames: the shadows are very important in this game and the dynamic lighting is one of the very best features of the engine! will happily accept some frame drops to have them again all back again. otherwise your mod is simply amazing :)
It'll be fixed in the next version as I'm adding new shaders and removing the uneeded brightness and contrast will be lowered back to normal level.

Yes, new version will come up hopefully in a week or 2 at the most, I'm just beta testing it. There's over 20 custom maps being imported into the normal campaign without using cheat codes to load them up. Some are short, some are quite long, I estimate this adds over 2 hours worth of gameplay into the campaign. It's always a shame that when you get the bfg it's near the end of the game, so now you can have a lot of fun using it in these later custom levels, plus a lot of fixes and even new bot soldiers are in this next version. there's a whole bunch of new features. And the premium packs get updated every few months with new content. So this mod is very much alive. Graphics will also look a lot more sharper in this 4.1 version. The reason there's a delay is like I said, adding a bunch of custom maps and testing them to make sure they load the next map correctly. Sometimes these custom maps crash so that's why I have to beta test to make sure all 20+ maps load correctly. So far so good. Also these maps aren't just any randomly themed maps. These ones I specifically chose add more of a storyline to the campaign. They range from the hellish maps, zombie maps, to UAC base themed maps to even outdoor maps. Some with water you can float through and anti gravity places. Not to mention some cinematics also involved on some levels.
Cool cant wait for final release. Something new to try out on doom 3.
The final release is along time away, either v6 or v7 will be when the best stuff comes out, it involved a lot of source code work. So for that version all I can say without spoilers is, you'll be able to get 32 weapons in your inventory, and they will be scattered along the new maps. The final release I'd probably say would be v10. And that will probably be a few years from now. There's a lot of content being added as I learn new stuff pretty much everyday. But often I get bugs but I always fix them!
I would like to see a video of the beta if you can upload here. If that's possible.
Can't spoil any of the new levels ;) it'll just be mostly the new features like the bots and textures and sounds.

V4.1 is coming with heaps of fixes, possibly being released tomorrow, but just fixing up one more stubborn glitch which I completely didn't notice in this version, this 4.1 is gonna make the game much more cleaner. There's only a few new features unfortunately, nothing on my mind needing to add so far, expect another big update within the next 3-6 months on v5.0 and probably next year or the end of this year, v6 will be a big leap as source code work will be involved, basically you can look forward to new animations, More weapons and such. That's all the teasers for now!

in this addon will there be a choice to turn off overmaxed textures they look really glossy it hurts my eyes but a setting option would be nice.
There is an option, change the texture quality to low. this addon uses 90% redux textures. Next version will have much sharper textures and colour grading will be tweaked to make the atmoshere and colours more enhanced. If your textures are looking glossy your probably not running on a good graphics card or may need to update your drivers. The textures are designed to look realistic, sand and rusted floors look rough, bathrooms looks dirty, flooring and walls have scratches or burns, so ur textures should be super sharp and different depending on what environment you're in, they shouldn't look glossy. If you could post a picture so I know what you're talking about.

by the way your addons are not that bad I like the added stuff like bots and NPCs so I am trying to make up with you. so please forgive me you deserved a sorry.
How exactly did you try out the mod if it caused crashes when you loaded it up? And this version I haven't included the NPCS, either you lied about playing the mod or it did work for you with no crashes.
****, got something else defined for the "x" key, how can I rebind my jetpack? Whats the jetpack function called in the Doom.CFG file?
jet pack is noclip, never tamper with the auto.ex, every button has been blinded to a specific key already. And you need to download the patch as it has more reload animations.
I'm confused there is 2 premium packs wich one do I install and how do I do it.
You download part 1 and part 2 and the patch, then u put EVERYTHING inside your perfected mod folder, so all the pk4 files should be with the other pk4 files
