Everything is wrapping up nicely, here at Perfect Dark Source. Much of the code required for the first beta is almost complete, including Pinball grenades, RCP 120 cloaking and looped ambiant tracks (yes, looped music too). Time to hunt for those scary bugs!
Krispy was kind enough to supply us with a demo track of Felicity. The song is a remix of Detadyne Central Detection, or better known as the first mission's music. You can listen to it here.
We now have all the character models needed for the first beta release. In it you will be able to play as Agent Dark, Shock Trooper and NSA Agent. NSA Agent is modeled below, designed and made by Mavman.
In the last couple of days, Complex has been revamped once more. The atmosphere is a futuristic ghetto that has been deserted due to contamination. Huge amounts of work has been invested to get personnal content for props and materials into the map. Here you can grab some panoramic pictures of Iggy's map:
Finally, all our thoughts go out to Nick's relatives and we look forward to seeing Goldeneye Source's team fulfill his vision. We're behind you guys.
Wow, looking great :)
Agreed.. a lot of detail in each map.... well done... keep up the excellent work guys...
COMPLEX!!!1
Nice model :D
But the music has been remixed so hard beyond recognition, I could listen to midi files from windows 95 with beethoven and hardly notice the difference :p
I just cross my fingers and hope I don't have to listen to that looping while I frag with my lame laptop gun ^^
Thanks dudes. Nick's passing has taken quite a toll on us, though inversely, it has invigorated us like never before. We want to see through what he started.
The media's looking really incredible guys. Keep it up!
I only recognized a bit from the original dD Central music, I have the PD soundtrack on my PC so they are some of my favorite tracks. It did sound good none the less, but I just hope you don't overdo it with the Chicago,Pelagic II,Crash Site, and Carrington Institution tracks.
I like the models too, Looks awesome. :D
