Reskins for the Roman line infantry (8 units) plus new SPQR banner. As well as color changes and all new shields (created for this game), all units (except Triarii) have had the sword removed from scabbard (they are holding it) and officers (different shields and helmets) added to Legionaries and Vet Legionaries - and they do not hold Pilums.

Permission from the author is required for the reuse or distribution of these files.

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Open each folder in the zipped file.
2. Identify the original files of the same name in the game folders in your steamapps/common/Field of Glory II/Data/Battle/UnitTextures folder and the steamapps/common/Field of Glory II/Data/Battle/Banners folder.
3. Save a copy of each of the original files (so you can revert to them if/when you want to).
4. Copy the modded files into the respective folder and overwrite the originals (remember you saved a copy of the originals with another name e.g. the auto generated "Filename - Copy.dds") so can go back to them if you want to.
5. Start the game as normal.

IMPORTANT NOTES

1. If there is a main game update with these files included/effected, these skins will be overwritten and you will need to resinstall this mod.
2. This is Work in Progress.
3. If you select/play a Roman AI opponent, they will use the original roman skins (in blue).
4. Generic units (like javelins etc) are used by all armies so cannot be "Romanized".
5. Due to the folder structure used by the game for certain functions, the skins may not always be used. The Author is not familiar with the said structure, so cannot advise at this time on how to avoid this.

REVERTING BACK

If you want to go back to original skins, then remove the modded files and rename the saved originals to their original name format. If you have problems, perform a verify integrity of Game Files function in Steam for the FOG II game.
